Equipped with Chris Brooks, Moody Radio’s newest daily show, is an outstanding resource for Christians who want to grow spiritually, think critically, and live compassionately in their communities. I am honored to be guest hosting the show, which airs from noon until 1 p.m. CDT, each day next week, April 4-8. (I’ll be a guest myself on Friday, April 1.)

Monday, April 4 — Joel Richardson

Richardson is a New York Times bestselling author, film maker, and internationally recognized preacher and teacher. He lives in the United States with his wife and five children. Joel’s heart is thoroughly missional, with a special love for all the peoples of the Middle East. He travels globally, teaching on the Gospel, living with Biblical Hope, the return of Jesus, and preparing the Church to face the great challenges of our time.

Tuesday, April 5 — Mark Mittelberg

Guest_Mark-MittlebergMark Mittleberg, author of “The Questions Christians Hope No One Will Ask,” has a passion for equipping Christians to defend their faith. He’ll join us to discuss how to build a confident faith, and how do you answer questions like “Didn’t Evolution put God out of a job?” and “How could God allow such evil and suffering?” and “Why do you condemn gays when it’s clear that God made gays and he loves all people the same?”

Mittelberg is a best-selling author and the primary creator of the “Becoming a Contagious Christian” curriculum, which has been translated into more than 20 languages and used to train 1.5 million people around the world. He was on the leadership team at the Willow Creek Association in Chicago for many years, and now co-directs (with Lee Strobel) The Institute at Cherry Hills in Denver, Colorado.

Wednesday, April 6 — Penny Young Nance

Guest_Penny-NancePenny Young Nance , CEO and President of Concerned Women for America (CWA), will join us to talk about the “Esther moment” Christian women in America find themselves in now — it’s time to stand up and speak out about issues that concern us. 

Nance, author of the book Feisty & Feminine, is a recognized national authority on cultural, children’s, and women’s issues, she is a weekly political commentator and is often asked to appear on network TV to address contemporary events and domestic issues. She holds a degree from Liberty University and lives in Virginia with her husband and two children. 


Thursday, April 7 — Canon Andrew White

Guest-White,-AndrewCanon Andrew White, the “Vicar of Baghdad,” has seen the atrocities of ISIS first-hand. He will join us live to discuss what ISIS is doing, how the persecuted church is responding, and what we can do to help.

White pastored St. George’s Church in Baghdad, one of the largest Churches in Iraq, until circumstances made travel unsafe in November 2014. Previously, he worked in Israel and Palestine, playing a key role in negotiating the end of the Bethlehem siege in 2002.H He is also president of the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East, which he founded to provide spiritual and material relief to refugees displaced by violent upheaval.

Friday, April 8 — Rob Moll

Has God designed our bodies for spirituality and communion with God? Award-winning journalist Rob Moll will discuss what neuroscience research is teaching us about how our brains develop and adapt to spiritual practices – and how God designed our bodies to love and serve him.

Moll is editor at large for Christianity Today magazine and the author of two books. His writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, TIME, Forbes, and numerous other publications. He is also the director of marketing and communications for Eventide Asset Management

  1. Thank you for a very thoughtful hour. It’s refreshing to hear a topic like this discussed in a coherent manner without a lot of rhetoric. Isis is a hot topic and it would be easy to make unfounded accusations with nothing to back up claims. Thank you Julie.
