CCM Artist Forrest Frank Praises God for Apparent Healing of Fractured Back

Rising contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter Forrest Frank is praising God for what he calls a “complete healing” after breaking his back two weeks ago.

On July 17, Frank was playing with his son, Bodie, at the family’s residence near Houston, Texas, when he fell off his skateboard and landed on his back.

The incident left Frank with multiple fractures to his L2 and L3 vertebrae, as evidenced by medical records that Frank flashed on screen in a video posted Saturday.

In that video shared on social media, Frank also shared some good news.

“So, I broke my back exactly two weeks ago. Got an x-ray and CAT scan. It showed that I had multiple fractures,” said Frank. “I could not move an inch without excruciating pain.”

On Saturday, Frank said he woke up and forgot to put on his back brace and began doing his regular morning routine, including picking up his son.

It was at this point he realized he wasn’t wearing his brace.

“I ordered an urgent x-ray (and) go get the x-ray,” said Frank. “I have complete healing in my back. I have no fractures in my back. No sign of a fracture.”

Forrest stated in his Instagram post that he is convinced God would’ve healed him on day one, but he “had a plan.”

“He wanted these songs & this testimony come to life. Regardless, I’m here for it all . . .  ruined for the ordinary,” wrote Frank.

During his two weeks of bed rest, Frank wrote, recorded, and released a song titled, “God’s Got My Back.”

The Texas-based producer-recording artist, known for his song “Your Way’s Better,” saw his hit pop-praise single cross over from Christian radio onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart in April.

Since its release in May, Frank’s follow-up, Child of God II, has remained No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart.

Forrest’s next performance is slated for Aug. 7 at the Iowa State Grandstand.

  1. He provided before X-ray report but not an after. Most charismatic and Vineyard Church preachers preach supernatural healings but they never provide any verification of the healings done through them. I personally believe that God heals us if he chooses, but when the sick person directly prays to him. I don’t believe that people are healed by third party anymore.
God requires verification and validation of miracles both in the Old testament and in the New testament. So many frauds and scams happen today because Christians are somehow taught that verification and validation comes from doubting Thomases.
Both the Old testament and New testament require two or three witnesses to establish a fact. Jesus provided multiple verifications of his healings which were done in public. “stretch out your hand”, “rise up and walk”, ” go show yourself to the priest”, At least this ccm guy Frank flashed on the screen his ‘before” x-ray report. Most will not.
If you want accountability in the charismatic church, then this is one of the first places to start.

    1. Bingo. Why did he show us the CT confirming the fracture, but not the x-ray showing it healed? Also, x-rays are much weaker than CT scans.

As noted in my comment, when the patient provides the medical records, it’s immediately suspicious. Especially when he’s got Christian product for sale.

Let him sign a medical waiver, and I’ll get to the bottom of this, and I’ll work with the TRR reporters on it to make sure the process is fair.

      Julie? Ok?

  2. HalleluYAHSHUA!!!!!!!! He heals, today, just as He did when He walked the earth as the Son of man and is the Word of YHWH Made Flesh Who died for our sins and our sicknesses ~ we rejoice with you, Forrest, and family! We Believe!

  3. This smells REALLY bad.

    1. Why show us the CT confirming the fractures, but NOT the x-ray confirming the healing?

    2. Perfectly possible that the CT showed fracture and the x-ray missed it. X-rays are not as powerful.

    3. If he is willing to sign a release, I would be happy to contact his medical providers and investigate this. Is he willing to do that? If not, why not? (Selective provision of medical records by the patient is immediately suspicious.)

    4. Many factors can cause false positives in CT lumbar scans.

I do wish this had been better researched before it got published. Still, I’m a fan of TRR.

  4. Thankful for the yeoman work that Steven Baughman does around here–God is using a non-Christian to help bring the church to accountability.

I’m not sure why it’s so hard to admit that God has used James Lindsay in the same way.
