In the classic whodunit detective genre, the best writers always turn to the butler, the maid, and the chauffeur for answers to the mystery at hand.
But oddly, in the case of the much-disputed incident between “Baby Lamb” and her uncle at Daystar TV’s 2021 executive retreat in Miramar Beach, Florida, no one thought to ask the housekeeper what she thought.
Until now.
El Informe Roys (TRR) has learned there was another adult who witnessed this crucial incident — Daystar President Joni Lamb’s cleaning lady Silvia Torres Gonzalez.
And in an exclusive video obtained by TRR, Gonzalez tells Colleyville, Texas, Police Detective Nick Garcia, through an interpreter what she heard that day at the beach.

Until now, there have been two narratives of what happened to the 5-year-old “Baby Lamb.” One makes her uncle, Josh Brown, appear guilty of inappropriate behavior with the girl; the other makes him seem like a victim of circumstances.
Her parents, former Daystar executive Jonathan Lamb and his wife Suzy Lamb, believe Josh acted inappropriately. Joni Lamb has defended Josh and eventually ejected her son from the network.
But the housekeeper says that Suzy’s version of events most closely matches her recollection.

What the maid said
However, Gonzalez repeatedly expresses concern that if she tells police what she knows, her employer will fire her.
“A lot of the things that she (Suzy) said is true,” Gonzalez tells Garcia. “And that’s my biggest concern—that when everything comes together, Miss Silvia goes out the door.”
At another point in the interview, the interpreter relays what Gonzalez said in Spanish, stating, “My husband said, ‘You have to tell the truth.’ And I said, ‘What if I lose my job?’ And her husband told her, the truth will make her free, will set her free.”
Como TRR previously reported, police interviewed several witnesses at the beginning of 2025, concerning allegations Josh Brown may have abused Baby Lamb.
According to Suzy Lamb, in November 2020, the girl, who had just turned 5, told her mother in graphic detail about sexual abuse that a “boy taller than Daddy” had done to her. But after speaking one-on-one to Joni the next day, the girl clammed up and hasn’t spoken of it since, Suzy told TRR.
Joni denies ever meeting one-on-one with the girl.
Jonathan and Suzy reported the alleged abuse to police in 2020, but because the girl wasn’t speaking, police closed the case. But in 2024, police reopened the case, after Jonathan and Suzy’s counselor reported the alleged abuse to Child Protective Services, which contacted Colleyville police.

Police closed the case again in March 2025 without filing any charges, noting that Baby Lamb has yet to voluntarily describe her abuse to police. If she does, they will reopen the case.
The videos of the 2025 police interviews were obtained by Jonathan Lamb with a public information request, then given to TRR.
He said/she said
According to Suzy Lamb, all the children of Daystar co-founders Marcus and Joni Lamb and their families were staying in a Florida beach house at the 2021 retreat.

One morning, Baby Lamb asked Suzy if she could go swimming. Suzy replied that the girl could and should go upstairs and get changed into her bathing suit.
Josh Brown, the husband of Jonathan’s sister Rachel Lamb Brown, was holding his 1-year-old baby. He followed the girl upstairs.
This frightened Suzy, who already had come to suspect Brown was the one who had abused her daughter. She immediately summoned her husband Jonathan, who dashed upstairs and into his daughter’s upstairs bedroom and found Josh, still with the baby in his arms, and the couple’s naked daughter. (Also in the room was Israel, 8, Jonathan and Suzy’s son. )
Enraged, Jonathan confronted Josh, who repeatedly replied, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry”—up to 50 times, Jonathan said.
According to Joni Lamb, a whole different scenario unfolded. Josh followed Israel to the bedroom because Israel had invited him to see a “city view” from a bedroom window. Unbeknownst to Josh, who was looking out the window with Israel, Baby Lamb began changing in the room and was naked when Jonathan entered the room.
Silvia’s account
The only family member thinking like a detective at the time was J.W. Weiss, husband to Jonathan’s sister Rebecca Lamb Weiss. He talked with Gonzalez back in 2021, wrote up his concerns in a letter to a trusted counselor, but did not reveal the housekeeper’s words except to a few close family members for years.
Then in late January 2025, Rebecca and J.W. Weiss told police that Gonzalez had information about what had happened with Josh but was afraid to speak about it.
Some of the information about Gonzalez’ knowledge was apparently contained in a letter J.W. wrote in 2021 and allowed Garcia to read in J.W.’s presence and then give back. Garcia urged the Weisses to encourage Gonzalez to speak to him.

De acuerdo a police notes obtained por TRR, Detective Garcia interviewed Gonzalez on Feb. 4, 2025.
They also state, “Silvia was very concerned that Joni Lamb would fire her for speaking to me, as working for the Lamb family is her only job. I informed her that the information provided by JW in his letter was most likely common knowledge to Joni. Silvia felt a responsibility to relay what she observed.”
In the interview, Gonzalez says she remembers the incident with Josh well because she was “a little bit upset” because she wanted everyone to finish breakfast, so she could clean up.
“But there was only one person that was not having breakfast yet,” Gonzalez remembers, “and it was Josh Brown. So, he came downstairs.”

Gonzalez then says that she remembers that some of those present were talking about the “city view.” But Gonzalez says she can’t remember if Joni was on the main floor or whether she had already gone downstairs.
Gonzalez states that the Lambs’ nanny was “with the kids” and that Rebecca’s son was in the living room.
“Israel went upstairs first,” Gonzalez recalls. “I remember that the little girl wanted to go swimming . . . So, I remember that the mom, the child’s mom, told her, ‘Okay, go get changed to go swimming.’
“And I do remember that (Josh) followed her . . . because I remember me saying I want him to finish (breakfast). (But) he already left again.” Gonzalez noted that Josh had his baby in his arms.
“At that point, the nanny or myself didn’t know what was going on,” Gonzalez said. “I heard a screaming from Suzy, saying, ‘Jonathan!’ Suzy’s room was close to the kitchen, and I was asking myself, ‘Why is she screaming like that at him?’ But she started running and then went into the room (apparently the couple’s bathroom, where Jonathan was). And then, Jonathan started running upstairs.
“When he went upstairs fast, I was still in the kitchen. I thought maybe he was grabbing something.
“Later, he came down. Josh came down too saying, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.’”
Gonzalez says she’s “not sure what happened.” But following the incident, Gonzalez “heard a lot of meeting talk.” She added that Rebecca told the nanny “not to leave the kids at all by themselves, and that she wanted her to sleep with them during the night.”

Gonzalez says the family then asked her to watch the children, which was “not normal. I never took care of the kids.”
At some point, Gonzalez said she was watching the kids swim and Israel told her they had found Josh and Baby Lamb naked upstairs.
“And my reaction was, ‘What!??” Gonzalez said.
She said she tried to change the subject and told him, “They were probably just changing to come to the pool.” But she added that Israel “probably knows a little bit more what happened that day because he was upstairs with them.”
But Israel, now 12, has told TRR previously that he was on his bed and didn’t see what happened.
‘Kissing her, like a lot of kisses, like everywhere’
Gonzalez also told Detective Garcia about another time “a long time ago.” She said she was washing dishes at Joni’s house and Josh was in the swimming pool with Baby Lamb.
“And yes, he was kissing her, like a lot of kisses, like everywhere,” Gonzalez said.
“On the face?” Garcia asks.
Gonzalez then motions with her hand all over her neck and cringes.
But she adds, “We are Hispanics. We’re not really accustomed to this. I’m not sure what the culture is . . . but that’s what happened.”
Some audio of the interview was removed, presumably by police, and replaced with a loud tone. But at the end of one tone, the interpreter, seemingly repeating what Gonzalez said, states, “—not going to stop with her. It’s an addiction.”
Gonzalez also notes that she watches the kids’ reactions because she feels those reveal a lot. She then communicated with gestures that Baby Lamb was always pulling her clothes tightly around her neck and face.
“I am not saying that’s 100% the truth — that something happened between them,” Gonzalez said. “But the way she acted, I could assume that she had a problem, that something went wrong.”
Next week, TRR will be releasing the final police video we’ve received. It shows an interview between Garcia, Josh Brown, and Brown’s attorney, Mark G. Daniel.

I would really like to read Silvia’s testimony in English–the whole interview. I could not understand the policewoman interpreting too quietly. She knew it was being recorded. I did read your summary. Thank you. Josh is a PERVERT!!!
Are there actually people who would see a social media post about the Lambs’ “amazing fam on vacay” and decide to send the Lambs more money? What if they realized the “fam” included at least two full-time servants?
I hope Mrs. Gonzalez has protection.
The younger generation I’m sure do not watch daystar..I’m sure the ones donating are older in age and probably don’t follow social media..Now if they put on the news on TV they would know..I quit watching and donating. There are many others to follow I trust. But I just cant watch someone that’s not a preacher etc. Try to take the place of Marcus Lamb? Some things he says are vulgar and unreal.
Several ministries – among them PowerPoint (Dr. Jack Graham) – have stopped airing on Daystar (PP ended in December last year). Only those super loyal to Daystar, or who are trying to break into the Christian media market, seem to be still airing.
Father I pray the truth will be revealed. Please Lord bring healing to the soul of baby Lamb. In Jesus holy name.
Julie- please appeal to a Christian business or home in that area to employ Sylvia- I am sure she has lost her job just saying🥵
I DON’T THINK JONI WOULD FIRE HER, KNOWING THAT IF SHE WENT TO WORK FOR SOMEONE ELSE, SHE WOULD BE QUESTIONED AND ASKED ABOUT THE SITUATION, AND COULD POSSIBLY SAY SOMETHING MORE THAT WOULD HURT THE SITUATION FOR DAYSTAR. SO I DON’T THINK SHE WILL FIRE HER. SHE WANTS TO KEEP HER AS CLOSE AS SHE CAN. REMEMBER, KEEP YOU FRIENDS CLOSE AND YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER.
THIS IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF JULIE TO APPEAL TO ANYONE. SHE IS A REPORTER, AND HER INVOLVEMENT WOULD BE TAKEN AS PERSONAL, SO SHE SHOULD NOT AND WOULD NOT, I DARE SAY, GET INVOLVED IN HER EMPLOYMENT. YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HER LOSING HER JOB ANYWAY, AND TO PRESUME SO IS NEGATIVE THINKING. FAITH PLEASES GOD. FEAR IS OF THE DEVIL AND OPENS THE DOOR FOR HIM TO COME INTO YOUR LIFE. SO KEEP THE DOOR OF FEAR CLOSED. KING DAVID SAID, “I WILL NOT FEAR!” HE MEANT THAT HE CHOOSES IN EVERY SITUATION TO PUT HIS TRUST IN GOD, AND NOT IN THE DEVIL THROUGH FEAR! ANYONE WHO OPENS THE DOOR TO FEAR WORSHIPS AT THE FEET OF SATAN! SO BEWARE, HE IS ALWAYS STANDING JUST OUTSIDE THAT DOOR.
FYI Please avoid using ‘ALL CAPS’ in the entirety of your comments. It’s often akin to shouting and screaming.
I wholeheartedly agree—— there is no need to type in all caps.
I’m pretty sure the housekeeper said they didnt pay her very much??? Was it right in hearing that? God bless that little lady & protect her.
“I’m pretty sure the housekeeper said they didn’t pay her very much???”
The usual reason given is “It’s a MINISTRY”, i.e. “Must Provide Own Support”.
To Joni, who is constantly seeking a word from the Lord outside of the Lord. When you understand the meaning of this verse then you will know the answer.
Disaster will come upon disaster and rumor will be added to rumor; then they will seek a vision from a prophet, but the law will be lost from the priest and counsel from the elders (Ezk 7:26).
Well done to Mrs Gonzalez (AND her husband) for choosing to do the right thing.
When we do the right thing, there can sometimes be a cost but the long term benefits, not least to our conscience and our SOUL far, far outweigh that cost.
Of course, Satan will rush to fill our heads with the worst case scenarios if we are thinking of doing what’s right but that’s because he’s a liar (John 8:44) and he’s scared of the POSITIVE consequences for those who do what’s right.
What are these consequences?
Well, look at Acts 10:22. God didn’t choose Cornelius (for salvation) randomly. He already had his eye on him:
“The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles”.
(Psalm 34:15-17)
(**see also: 1st Peter 3:10-13!!)
Well said. This verse also comes to mind: “Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth,” (1 Cor. 13:6). May the Lord send a special blessing to truth tellers like Mrs. Gonzales.
The truth is like a lion, let it go and it will take care of itself… it’s time to devour the lies.
Of course Ms. Gonzales will lose her job; Joni Lamb fired her own son and daughter-in-law for telling the truth!
My prayer is that all of us professing a Christian ethic will support Ms. Gonzales and that a wonderful, ethical employer will hire her. Who *wouldn’t* want someone with such integrity?
It’s interesting to see how all these high profile, “religious” (no inference to Christian) live and take vacations. How many poor people are being bilked out of their last dime to support these outrageous lifestyles?? Yes, it is very sad that perhaps this child was being groomed by Uncle Josh but reality is, there is power and control issues with all of them. I am pretty much turned off by all the charlatans and “mega” churches who beg for more, more and then more to “further the gospel” while they have stockpiled millions for themselves and their families. At this point their ministry is laughable and if Jesus who lived a selfless existence, never had a pillow to lay his head on and was persecuted and beaten and died to save us is found anyplace in this clown act, please show me.
I think it was reported (can’t remember where) but Daystar has some type of program where you can sign over your trust to them when you pass.
to be fair – that’s not an uncommon for non-profit organizations (religious / non-religious alike) to work with estate planning with their large donors.
There are some valid worries about retribution, but there was open dialogue, according to Mrs. Gonzalez, between her and Mrs. Lamb, about her going to the police. Joni knew that she had been summoned, and she knew it was because JW had already gone to the police, and the police had asked to speak with her.
So there was no overt betrayal, sneakily doing something behind her back, blindsiding her, nothing secretive where Sylvia was going on her own initiative. And even in the video she says her husband was pressing her to go. So it was JW, the police, and her husband who were behind this, not Sylvia. She was put in an awkward position where she couldn’t really say no.
Nevertheless, I think the detective was a bit sneaky in the way he coaxed her speak to him, because he said that Joni already knew what she was going to say, or words to that effect. Obviously she didn’t know exactly what was going to be said.
Furthermore, when Sylvia did start talking and sharing her story, she did not go off script the way JW and Rebecca did to hurl insults at Joni the way they did about Jonathan and Suzy. In fact, I don’t think Sylvia said anything specifically about Joni that implicated her, because it was all about Mr. Brown.
The exception to this is where she said she didn’t get paid well. Even though I don’t think it was intended as an insult, Joni could obviously use it as grounds to dismiss her. But ultimately, nine months later, Sylvia may have concluded Joni’s protection of Josh is reason enough to work for someone else.
Thus entire situation is very upsetting to read or watch . When your hearts telling you there is a coverup going on for years now st Daystar . Where is the fear of God respect and honor for God in all of this . Power and money has taken over leaders thinking and hearts .
The truth will be made known by God . No doubt . Coming forth in truth and asking for forgiveness first to God and if needed to Suzy and Jonathan and their child for what may have been done was the only way to handle this tragic and very sad situation. Then face consequences for any horrific crime that may have been committed.
God have mercy on all involved . God forgives when we truly repent . But there is serious consequences to many sins . This being one of them . God bring much healing to this family .
God ‘s will be done. He knows what is Best and what will bring Him glory even in this tragedy 🙏🏻
I am a little worried about the safety of Mrs. Gonzalez. She is such a wonderful lady but truly need to work for someone else: first for her safety and for her to get out of the corrupted envoirement that Daystar is contributing.
So Jonathan and Suzy Lamb suspected their child had been abused by Josh Brown *before* agreeing to go on this vacation?! And everyone together in one house? That is so careless of the child’s well-being; they need parenting coaching, among other things.
This organization needs to die a quiet death. I can only imagine how much money Daystar has siphoned from local churches, places of worship with pastors who live modestly and work hard to guide the flock in their care.
Laura Lynn Tyler Thompson said on her podcast yesterday that Sylvia was retired now. I don’t know how she found that out.
