  1. Wow. Just… wow! This guy is completely off the rails. I truly and sincerely wish someone who loves him would reach out and try to help him out of this delusional fantasy world he has created. How tremendously sad this is. I will pray for him and for those who live him. ????

  2. Mrs. Gossipslut? Sometimes a vile man needs to be corrected in ways that have nothing to do with paper, pen or spoken words. I’ll pay my own expenses to be at the public forum should you ever want to appear with little jimmy.

  3. I received one such letter because I had given one gift to WITW. He’s the most unrepentant & narcissistic person…..no responsibility for anything…blames everyone else.

  4. Goodness me! How many rogue elders were appointed to Harvest to oust the absolutely innocent James McDonald from his rightful kingship of Harvest church?

  5. And JM thinks it’s Christ-like, and perfectly fine to call you names, Julie? He’s delusional. And to be pitied (hard as that might be to feel that for him right now). From 4000 to 150 people still believing his lies…how sad for those 150. In the last days…wolves in sheep’s clothing…JM fits the bill.

  6. I suppose that the bogus defamation lawsuits he filed against a number of innocent people was also a figment of his imagination too. This guy is a Canadian and I am embarrassed to say how he makes Canadians who are generally known to be kind and friendly as well as sincere Christians look like they are money grubbing swindlers. He must just love the attention no matter how bad it may be.

  7. MacDonald’s challenge for Julie Roys to appear with him in a public forum calls to mind that scene in “The Horse And His Boy” where the defeated villain Prince Rabadash demanded to cross swords with some Archenland representative. Wise King Lune forbade the encounter, and soon Aslan himself gave Rabadash what he deserved. That conclusion would satisfy here. Who among us could resist indulging in some carnal merriment if Rabadash MacDonald were to turn into a donkey before our very eyes?

  8. Reading through all the “poor me” and latest buzzwords, I wonder what JM thinks he’s changed. I only see someone apparently hardening more into delusions and self-righteousness. And he wants to develop a platform for ministers to get their sermons from? How much extra for the kind of filth that came out of his mouth when he wasn’t on stage? His family all need to go get jobs instead of expecting others to fund them.

  9. Wow what a surprise! Jimmymac, asking for more money? I am only assuming he lost big time at his last poker game. a friend of mine showed me a picture from his cell phone, asking if I knew this guy. Sun was making a glare, so it wasn’t very clear. So I said I’m not sure. He said I think he was a pastor friend of yours. So I took a better look,, Sure enough he was sitting at a poker table, playing poker.
Of course we can’t be sure if he was actually playing, could have been trying to convert others to Jesus. So I hope the 150 followers who still support his habit, are poker players as well.

  10. It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age— and then have fallen away—to be restored to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame.
For land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless, and its curse is imminent. In the end it will be burned. Hebrews 6:4-8

  11. 2 Timothy 4:1–5 (ESV): “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,  and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

  12. I actually received a copy of this email; it also includes a link to a page on his website titled “Controversy” where he tells his side of the story of his firing. It is full of public accusations (with first and last names of those who has grievances with) so cringeworthy, it wreaks of pride, defensiveness, blameshifting and outright slander. Unfortunately, it seems NOTHING was learned, and JMac has simply taken his side show on the road to whoever will follow his circus around town.
I know I am called to pray for JMac, but he is making it SO hard.
I am also baffled at how Harvest seemed to roll over and just let JMac walk away with whatever he wanted….

  13. I really need to apologize to Pastor James. Sorry. I would love to give money to your ministry and become Donor Number 151. However on further review my 10% is already going to three great causes….Charles Ponzi Ministries, Bernie Madoff Evangelistic Crusades and Al Capone “Family” Ministries. Thanks for asking though Pastor J.

      1. Would someone please check and see if James MacDonald has a high school diploma? Because his choices in insults sound like someone stuck in junior high…

“A curse without cause does not alight.”
        Onward!

  14. “By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” It’s hard for me to understand when Christians behave as if there is no God. You are doing a hard job with grace, Julie. Only someone who can’t defend their position with truth resorts to childish name-calling and demeaning insults.

  15. Looking at his Twitter, the majority of the commenters are pointing out that he’s in the wrong. Any supporters reading his tweets and all the replies will realise he has a problem.

  16. God says in 1 John 3:6-10 the following: “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.
10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.”

  17. If you ever watch the CBNC show American Greed you will know that con men never change no matter how many times they get caught. They never take responsibility for their actions and never feel remorse over those whom they have stolen from. James is a prototypical con man and it is important that those who may not follow the news as closely as they should are made aware of his track record so that they are not taken in by him.

  18. Dear Julie: I’m very sorry that you have to endure the slander leveled against you by this fake Christian. The names that he used to insult you are reprehensible to say the least. Really though, and in all probability, I believe James McDonald has, emotional/mental health issues, but this does not excuse his sin. I have never seen a person who names the name of Jesus Christ behave in this manner, never.

  19. Ironically, Jimmy Mac’s vile verbal bile only further reveals his sick nature, and further proves the truth of what many, including his former close friends, ministry workers, and associates, have said about this over the years, and the The Roys Report has accurately reported.

It’s a compliment to be insulted by a person of disrepute, especially one as ghastly as JMac, or other sinister beings. Conversely, it would be telling in highly negative way to be considered his ally.

With this latest evil eruption, it seems JMac has given up on even trying to appeal to any Christian with at least a trace of sense.

Perhaps he and Jim Baker can share mailing lists of those who have a penchant for being scammed repeatedly, or start a Jimmy and Jim’s how-to firm for financial malfeasance and trying to sound sincere while lying through your teeth.

  20. I don’t understand Twitter very well…being an oldster, but….why are replies not allowed for MacDonald’s last four or so tweets? Too much truth saying and too many calls to repentance?

We were in HBF for approximately 7 years, and having participated in a Harvest “University” in Elgin (about 2012), I knew that I would NEVER chose to attend a church with this man as pastor. When compared to our Pastor Robbie in Oakville ON…..I am saddened to see the same spirit continue ..one of pride, boasting, lack of accountability (ya think?) And showmanship…why wasn’t HE a shock jock?

  21. The insulting, vulgar hashtags should be enough for any new or previous supporters to donate their money elsewhere, But as Mark Twain wisely quipped: “It is easier to fool people than it is to convince them they have been fooled.”
