The pastor of the True Grace Church in Arlington, Texas, has been arrested on child indecency charges. 

Troyce Hernandez, 50, is alleged to have touched a 14-year-old female relative in the summer of 2008. The girl was living in an Irving, Texas, apartment with the pastor, according to media reports. 

She told Irving police that Hernandez started touching her while they viewed a movie, according to a informe by WFAA-TV. The broadcaster said it had viewed an arrest affidavit outlining the accusations. 

According to the affidavit, the victim informed police Hernandez “became erect” as he touched the girl’s back and stomach. He then covered himself with a pillow. 

Police said Hernandez told them during an interview he “did not remember doing that but did not deny that it occurred,” according to WFAA.  

An Irving police department spokesperson told The Roys Report (TRR) via email the agency was not sharing information on the case, but “only clarified that the charges stem from an incident that occurred in 2008 because of obvious public concern.” 

De acuerdo a Article 12.01 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure there is no statute of limitations to prosecute child indecency cases. 

Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Dallas County jail on Jan. 29, but the television station said he was not listed as an inmate on February 3. 

Hernandez is listed on social media accounts for True Grace Church as its pastor, but he did not speak at the Feb. 1 service al corriente En facebook.
