A north Texas pastor continues to ask for prayers for his wife who spent several days in the hospital with an unknown illness.

Pastor Matt Chandler of The Village Church in Flower Mound originally compartido on Instagram that his wife, Lauren, had a “super high fever and other symptoms.” The couple had asked for prayers as she was being “poked, prodded, and scanned up and down and the fever persists.”

While the original tests all came back negative, her fever eventually broke which the couple was incredibly grateful for.

On December 31, Chandler gave an update on how Lauren was doing. “She has finally turned the corner! She looks more like herself and the color is back in her face. They still haven’t identified the virus but have ruled out most of the scary autoimmune diseases. Doctor said if she can go 48 hours without fever and fever reduction meds we can go home.”

Several days after entering the hospital, Chandler took to Instagram once again to share some positive news. “All Lauren’s numbers look great. Still don’t have certain labs back but we can wait those out at home. Our infectious diseases doc is informing the hospitalist that we can go home!!,” he captioned the post.

“Thank you for all your prayers. Please pray for her recovery now which is apparently going to take a couple of months. (And for a quick discharge).”

Many people commented on the post sharing that they will continue to pray. “Praying for LC and your family. Father, please heal her and give the doctors wisdom in diagnosing her. Please send them home healthy soon. Let them feel Your presence in all of this and keep the enemy far. In Jesus’ Name, Amen,” one said.

“Praying for that fever to stay away. Father, would you bless Lauren with vitality and full healing in Jesus’ name,” another said.
