For decades, Deborah Perkins and Tammy Woods thought they were the only victims of International House of Prayer Kansas City (IHOPKC) Founder Mike Bickle. But after Tammy heard Deborah’s story, the scales fell from her eyes, and she saw Mike Bickle for the “monster” he was.
Now, for the first time, these two brave women appeared together on a panel at the Restore Conference.
Joining them was Elizabeth Herder, a former IHOPKC leader who went to battle with these two women, fighting for truth and light against the forces of darkness.
Not surprisingly, this panel was one of the most powerful sessions at Restore. After enduring decades of deception and silencing, these women spoke with exceptionally hard-earned clarity and conviction.
Having learned the truth from other survivors, they explained the power of telling stories out loud.
“I’ve seen the power of story, the power of testimony—and that’s what woke me up and set me free,” said Deborah.
The panelists also told why it’s so important for allies and advocates to support victims. Tammy Woods confessed that without her pastor’s bold support, she’s not sure if she would have been able to speak out.
Knowing that so many in the room didn’t get the support they needed from Christian leaders, moderator Julie Roys invited those who wanted prayer to raise their hands. What happened during that prayer time was something no one could have anticipated, as survivors expressed deep pain in loud lament and crying.
Though we have edited the prayer time to preserve survivors’ privacy and safety, this recording is a must-listen. After experiencing it, you’ll understand clergy sexual abuse on a whole new level.

A veteran, evangelical Christian for decades, witnessing the existential battle underway for the USA is as heartbreaking as it is scary. With the help of millions of ignorant, foolish voters, often encouraged by too many ignorant, foolish, and even reprobate Christian “leaders”, an actual criminal gang has been handed the reins of our country. For my account, I’m certain that there is a strong positive correlation between the swiftly increasing incidence of inexcusable sexual sin on the part of recognized Christian leaders, and the precipitous decline in the quality of their common sense, judgement, and leadership value. Savonarola and Loyola, enter stage far-right.
Thank you for the powerful testimony of these Women of God & of the Advocacy Group and your faithful witness & reporting, Julie Roys. I bless my sister survivors, Deborah Perkins & Tammy Woods and the others who spoke Truth and gave the prophetic cry of “Wolf! Wolf! WOLF!” The prayer time for survivors was also healing as well. Thanks for finding the clip of Alan Hood saying the more full context of Ezekiel 9:3-4 that I shared during the Ministry Time. Yahweh Sees, Hears, Knows & Fights vigorously for His little Lambs. 🙏🏽💕 Gabriella Joy
