A second pastor has come forward, accusing popular televangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes of decades-old sexual misconduct.

Richard Edwin Youngblood’s reclamación (es against the famed preacher were explained in a 6-page sworn affidavit attached to a voluminous motion to dismiss Jakes’ lawsuit against Youngblood’s brother, Duane Youngblood.

Jakes sued Duane Youngblood last November, after Duane accused Jakes of sexually abusing him when he was a teenager. The allegations were made during Duane Youngblood’s appearance on the “Larry Reid Live” YouTube talk show.

According to the affidavit by Duane’s brother, Richard Youngblood, Jakes also sexually assaulted him.

Richard Youngblood states in his affidavit that Jakes climbed into Youngblood’s bed when the two were sharing a hotel room in 1986. “He pressed his body against mine and asked, ‘Youngblood, do you feel that?’ He was referencing his erection that he was pressing against my backside,” the affidavit states.

Several attempts to leave a telephone message left with The Potter’s House, a Dallas–based church, were unsuccessful. An email sent to the church requesting comment on Richard Youngblood’s accusation was not returned.

Richard Youngblood states in his sworn statement that he first met Jakes after attending a weeklong meeting where Jakes spoke.

One evening after a service, Youngblood told Jakes of his “intentions to relocate to West Virginia,” so he could learn from Jakes. Youngblood initially began driving for Jakes and carrying items Jakes needed for preaching, such as his Bible or robe. Youngblood also traveled with Jakes and was available to Jakes throughout the day, the affidavit states.

Youngblood eventually became Jakes’s “armorbearer,” as well as his praise and worship leader.

Shortly after Youngblood’s son was born, Youngblood alleged the conversations with Jakes “shifted from ministry and God to more things about him,” including sexual discussions involving Jakes’s wife.

The sexual assault reportedly occurred during an overnight stay in Westover, West Virginia, where Jakes allegedly secured a room with two beds.

Youngblood said after Jakes climbed into his bed and tried to perform a sex act, Youngblood got out of the bed and said Jakes then tried to kiss him.

“On our way back after the meeting, I brought up what happened and expressed my extreme discomfort and that I loved my wife,” Youngblood said in his statement.

Jakes allegedly responded with a “slight grunt” or something like “mmm,” the statement said.

When Youngblood asked what that meant, Jake allegedly responded, “It kind of hurt his feelings to hear” Youngblood’s remarks.

Youngblood said he attempted to share the incident with one of the church’s elders. The elder then reportedly went to Jakes, who summoned Youngblood into his office and berated him. “You didn’t care about my wife,” Jakes reportedly told Youngblood, suggesting she might find out his secret, the statement says.

Another minister reportedly counseled Youngblood, asking him what he had “done to make Bishop Jakes think” Youngblood was gay.

Jakes told Youngblood he was no longer allowed to attend Jakes’ church and called Youngblood’s wife, telling her “that I was a liar and to beware of me.”

Richard Youngblood’s affidavit is one of six affidavits supporting Duane Youngblood’s claim that the television personality wanted a sexual relationship with Duane. The 167-page motion also includes a police report filed by Duane Youngblood about an alleged threat by Jermaine Jakes, T.D. Jakes’s son.

The court ruled on Jan. 25 that Jakes has until Feb. 14 to file a response to Youngblood’s motion, not to exceed 20 pages. Youngblood then has until Feb. 21 to file a response to Jake’s response, not to exceed 15 pages.

    1. The bible does not speak of any revival, on the contrary because we are promised that MANY will fall away.
Jesus Christ prepared us for last days, almost every book of the new testament warns of false teachings&teachers.

    2. The Bible calls us “more than conquerors”. There is indeed a revival coming to that end goal. There must also be “reformation” of churches and even cities and nations. Revivals of the past did not result in reformation. This one must! It must be worldwide, leading to “the knowledge of His glory will cover the earth, as the waters cover the seas.” To get to that, there MUST be revival, but also reformation. Let the exposures continue. Let us be on the right said as God cleans up the Church in this worldwide revival.
