‘Online, Adulterous Relationship’ Costs Christian YouTuber ‘Kris Kdub’ His Church Membership

A popular YouTube theology presenter is under public sanction from his local congregation for letting an online relationship with a woman lead to pursuing divorce from his current wife.

Kris Williams, who goes by “Kris Kdub” on his 89,000-subscriber “All Things Theology” (ATT) YouTube channel, allegedly resumed an “online, adulterous relationship with another woman,” after first confessing it to his church. Williams now is not only seeking a divorce but refusing discipline by his church—Heritage Grace Community Church (HGCC) in Plano, Texas.

ATT describes itself as “a bold and unapologetic Christian YouTube channel that tackles false doctrine, exposes false teachers, and defends sound biblical truth. Hosted by Kdub, the channel features theological commentary, sermon reviews, street evangelism clips, and Christian hip-hop with a strong focus on discernment, while promoting solid theology.”

A Reformed Baptist congregation, HGCC says on its website it “strives to be Bible-focused and Christ-centered in all it does.  For this reason, God’s Word is uppermost in our worship.  Our worship style is a combination of both contemporary and traditional worship.”

After Williams’ wife “provided undeniable evidence” of the illicit relationship, Williams “confessed his sin” and “committed to end this relationship,” a May 22 letter from the pastors of HGCC states. The pastors noted Williams and the woman, who is not named, did not have “physical contact.”

Leaders at HGCC “were proactively keeping Kris accountable to his confession and repentance,” the pastors wrote. “However, in a short time, he was contacted again by this woman, and soon after, the online chats and phone calls resumed.”

According to the statement, Williams was “confronted again” about his behavior, but “refuses to repent and has instead left his family, and is pursuing a divorce from his wife.”

The statement said Williams “has been placed under church discipline (according to Matthew 18) for continuing to pursue an online, long distance adulterous relationship with another woman (while married) and habitually living a double life. The church has been exhorted to pursue him with the purpose of calling Kris to repentance and reconciliation with Christ and his family.”

The church said it released “a public notice” because of Williams’ online ministry and because ATT “has been associated” with the congregation.

The pastors said that since Williams is “no longer in good-standing as a member of HGCC, we can no longer approve or promote his ministry in good conscience.”

Another Christian YouTube personality, Saiko Woods, told TRR that in 2021, he exchanged texts with Williams after his wife accused him of infidelity on social media.

In those texts, which Woods shared with TRR, Williams admits he “was being secretive” about communication with “females I worked with.” But Williams said he was taking time away from social media to “work on my marriage.”

Despite being under church discipline, Williams remains active on YouTube, posting videos within the past five days. He also maintains an active presence on X, formerly Twitter, in which his biography says he is “(h)usband to @tdubinHislove| Father | Christian” and advertises his YouTube channel and website.

Mrs. Williams, identified on X as “Tonia,” says in her bio, “My only hope..Christ • Mommy to Micah • Army Vet.”

The Roys Report (TRR) has contacted both Kris Williams and HGCC for comment but has not heard back.

  1. Heart Breaking… reminds me of Luke Hill’s Song “Ruin Your Whole Life”
“I hope the visits on the weekend are a respite for your soul and the freedom that you’re craving leaves you free to lose it all. I hope someday you’ll hit the bottom then be forced to give it up cause the only hope left for you is a hope that’s from above” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ch637c8xjw

  2. There is a reason why I don’t trust all the “God-talk” from evangelical – or any religious leaders –

We see all the whining about persecution, mis-representation, the devil ad nauseous!

Yeah – those whining the loudest are the biggest deceivers and abusers.

  3. Fascinating. Evangelicals want to punish this man for his adulterous behaviour yet they have crowned Donald Trump as their saviour!

  4. I read the comment section of his most recent YouTube video and most of the people there are asking him to step down.

  5. In the comment section of one his most recent videos many were admonishing him to step down. I wonder if he even reads the comments or just ignores them.
