This year’s season of The Voice has been a platform for numerous Christian singers, and last night yet another contestant used the stage to praise God.
Lauren-Michael Sellers performed Lauren Daigle’s “Hold On To Me,” blowing away all three judges and keeping her spot on Reba McEntire’s team.
During rehearsal, Sellers shared how she lost her mother to an overdose, and how her faith has helped her cope with this tragedy.
“I love that song. Touches my heart,” said McEntire, following Sellers’ performance. “Oh golly, it hits my heart so hard. When she started singing it hit me in the chest. I started crying.”
“Lemme see I got notes for Lauren-Michael. My notes are (No notes!),” said rap artist Snoop Dogg as he held up a blank piece of paper “When that microphone and that music came on, it felt so perfect. Felt like you were an instrument inside of the music instead of a voice.”

Gwen Stefani echoed others, saying Sellers was unbelievable. To end the episode, McEntire chose Sellers as the winner of the knockout.
During her blind audition, Sellers performed a rendition of Hillsong United’s “Oceans,” wowing all four celebrity judges.
Last week, another Christian singer stepped on the national platform.
14-year-old Jaukeem Fortson performed For King & Country’s “God Only Knows,” bringing all four judges and the entire crowd to their feet.
Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé could be seen lifting their hands in worship, while McEntire and Stefani were almost brought to tears.
Fortson, who got his start in singing at church, says “God Only Knows” has impacted his life in many ways.
“God really knows and if you just let him step into your life, he can do the miraculous,” said Fortson. “This year, I went into ninth grade and in some classes, work can get a little bit overwhelming. After I heard this song, I could just do my work more and feel calmer. He really knows.”
For King & Country quickly reacted on social media, reposting his performance and letting him know they’re now one of his biggest fans.
“My, what a powerhouse! At only 14?!! Consider us fans, Jaukeem,” said the band in a post on Facebook. “We are truly honored, and we are cheering you on in the journey.”
Season 26 of The Voice, which airs Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC, will continue through December 3.

One of the most beautiful renditions of “The Goodness of God” was sung by a little boy on “America’s Got Talent” a while back. It left me in tears.
Since God gives all of us whatever talents we possess, it only makes sense to use them for praising Him. Perhaps America is coming back after all.
Thank you for posting these videos. Really uplifting.
This is so totally awesome!!!
