A Messianic teaching ministry has become the second programmer to leave Daystar TV, following allegations the network’s president, Joni Lamb, covered up sex abuse, engaged in spiritual abuse, and entered into an “unbiblical” marriage.
Citing its “commitment to the authority of Scripture,” Love Israel, the international Bible teaching ministry of Baruch Korman, said it will sever its relationship with Daystar “as soon as possible” in a video today on YouTube.
“For us it was very clear, we cannot be who we are in the Messiah and take the positions we take in morality and in marriage and in stewardship, and continue to be associated with Daystar,” Korman said.
Previously, Canadian broadcaster Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson pulled her daily Daystar TV program, Laura-Lynn Live at the Eagle’s Nest, citing “ethical deficits” at the network.
Korman did not specify the moral issue with Daystar. However, one of the main allegations leveled by Joni Lamb’s son and former Daystar Vice President, Jonathan Lamb, and his wife, Suzy Lamb, centered on Joni Lamb’s recent marriage to sex therapist Doug Weiss.

According to Jonathan and Suzy, also a former Daystar TV personality, Weiss lacked biblical grounds for divorcing his wife of more than 30 years in 2022 and marrying Joni in 2023. As a result, the marriage was adulterous, Jonathan and Suzy claimed.
Because of this belief, Jonathan and Suzy refused to read a comment on air in July 2023, praising Joni’s marriage, as first reported by TRR. This led to a contentious meeting between the couple, Joni, and her ally, XO Marriage Founder Jimmy Evans, in which Suzy was fired. This meeting was recorded, and published by TRR, and has more than a half-million views to date.
TRR also reported on questionable financial practices at Daystar, including Joni and Weiss’ six figure honeymoon, initially paid by the TV network.
Lamb has since claimed that she and Weiss reimbursed Daystar for the total amount and “not one penny of Daystar’s money was used for our honeymoon.”
Jonathan and Suzy also allege that Joni covered up the sexual abuse of their daughter by a family member in 2020-2021, as also reported first by TRR.
Daystar has denied the allegation, claiming that an “internal investigation . . . concluded with no wrongdoing found nor evidence provided that corroborated the allegation.”
However, TRR spoke with the forensic counselor who conducted that investigation, Debbie Leonhardt. Leonhardt said she was unable to reach a conclusion because Joni and her late husband and Daystar co-founder, Marcus Lamb, shut down the investigation before Leonhardt was able to interview the alleged perpetrator properly.
The allegation Joni covered up sex abuse was a major factor, prompting Tyler Thompson to pull her daily TV program.
Tyler Thompson cited numerous ethical deficits at Daystar. But she said the most egregious one was the failure of “senior executives, and in this case, parents, to properly align with their son and daughter-in-law, who had sincere, rational, and earnest concerns that their child had been molested by a family member.”
Korman declined to comment on the allegations against Joni Lamb. However, he said the decision to pull Love Israel’s programming was made unanimously by the ministry’s board.
Korman added, “We’re not trying to influence any of the other programmers in those organizations that also broadcast on Daystar. They are going to have to go through the same process we did of seeking God in prayer, examining Scripture, seeing what’s going on there for themselves, and arriving at the decision that is right for them.”
Some other well-known Christian preachers broadcasting on Daystar TV include prosperity preachers T.D. Jakes, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, and Joyce Meyer. Other more mainstream evangelical pastors broadcasting on Daystar include Dr. David Jeremiah and Greg Laurie.
Though Love Israel may not be as large or well-known as these other ministries, support for Israel is a major feature of Daystar and a focus in its fundraising.
Korman also spoke of forgiveness but added that forgiveness doesn’t mean compromising “the standards of God.”
Love Israel and Daystar had a 10-year relationship. And through Daystar, the program was broadcast to the U.S., Canada, and in 190 countries, reaching 17 million people nationwide, according to Daystar’s website.
Worldwide, Daystar’s network includes more than 100 stations and is reportedly worth $1 billion.

Thank you for standing for truth. Thank you to Laura Lynn Tyler Thompson for leading in removing her show from Daystar. God is never left without a witness and we will and can survive without Daystar. #stop supporting Daystar!
I have witnesed a side of Joni Lamb that was and is not Godly. Bullying others just because you are CEO of a t.v. show when you are just a Mere Sinful Mortal who hides behind your Facade of ‘The Voice of God’ is Very Disingenious. She said Suzie was her “daughter in Love” on the show yet now she calls her Jezebel as Joni forgot to look in the mirror before she threw darts at her daughter in law. You can’t go and subtlely steal another friend’s husband and expect everyone to accept your dishonest actions (even if it was Just sin per Joni’s Words in a recent privately recorded meeting) Exposing her and in Confliction with her public personna. ‘Do as I say and Not as I do’ comes to mind. Johnathan is an Adult and bullying him in a private meeting with Bully Jimmy Evans just because he is Joni’s son and because he does not agree with her marriage and she makes excuses for her deceiptful behaviour and wants to disrespect Johnathan’s biblical viewpoint of marriage is shallow and manipulative. She wants to tell everyone on her show as well as the public that Johnathan is the manipulator. Well we are now seeing that Joni can’t fool everyone after all.
Well, the trickle has begun. I’m watching for the floodgates to open. Perhaps other programmers will be encouraged now, or maybe even pressured by viewers, to follow suit…if it be God’s divine will, of course. I hope and pray the light of truth now shining forth will even brighten and God will bring justice.
Good for Baruch. More preachers should take their programs off the ungodly daystar.
I truly believe Baruch Korman and his board made a godly judgement. This is very sad tho. For a good ministry doing God’s will to leave what they love doing..
♥️🇮🇱
Just read on X that PowerPoint with Dr Jack Graham from Prestonwood Baptist will air its final show on Daystar on December 22nd and it has canceled its contract.
I contacted them and was told the same thing via email.
Would you be able to post a link to where you read this?
I suspect the prosperity preachers will milk their living-room donors as long as they can before pulling out, and then they may not even leave if they can survive viewership credibility and maintain financial profitability. Then again, it could come down to ‘everyone else is leaving, we better leave too’.
I would rejoice if they all crumbled. Do these prosperity preachers – and old ones at that – EVER get enough money and be willing to gracefully exit the world’s stage?! No, never. They want more more MORE…for larger jets to spread the gospel, of course. Such self-important fame and wealth seekers. They suppress the knowledge that judgment day is surely coming when God will expose their evil deeds and intents of their wicked hearts.
To name a few, ‘Prosperity Gospel’ Phonies Paula White and Joel Olsteen will have to find a new ‘Cash Grab’ advertsing outlet. Oh well. lol
When a child of God gives their time and money to influencers who live lives, contrary to Gods know will, they too then become promoters of those sins.
Our Husband is coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle.
We His bride have been silent far to long about issues that we ought to have been addressing a long time ago.
While it’s time to be more loving, it’s also long overdue time to roar!
My encouragement to Jonathan and Suzi, from Romans 8:31: “What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us?” ..
Joni Lamb really scares me.
Since starting to watch and support Daystar I’ve suggested to many friends saved and unsaved to watch as I thought it the best I’ve seen recently on tv. Guess I’m duped again as I was in earlier years by church going christians and ministers by their participation in sex, lies, receipt, and whatever else. What do I tell ones I recommended to watch? Hard these days to witness to people with this type stuff happening. And hard for long time christians to understand and explain. Very discouraging. Sad also. God will take care of it, I’m certain.
I contacted PowerPoint Ministries (Dr. Jack Graham) and asked if they had similar plans. Below is the response I received:
“Mr. Reeder: Thank you for your thoughtful letter. PowerPoint’s last broadcast on Daystar, per its contractual obligations, is this Sunday December 22nd.”
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21-23 ESV. Sadly, TV preachers use their broadcasts to generate mega revenue (nothing less than a Ponzi Scheme to solicit money to make more broadcasts to solicit more money). In the end, they are the ones that prosper… not the duped followers who finance them. I suspect the majority of these “preachers” will not want to cut off their cash source and continue to broadcast on Daystar, regardless of the muck and mire that has become the standard at Daystar. I, for one, will not support ANY ministry that broadcasts on Daystar… pending an unbiased investigation and full disclosure. I reason that many folks will do likewise, with many painting these ministries with a “broad brush” – believing they are complicit. God’s Word is clear – we are indeed witnessing a prophesied “end-times” scenario unfolding before our very eyes.
Thank you so much for choosing your integrity over this clear lack of moral compass. The only way this type of absurd behavior will cease is when people stop writing checks.
Since many other programmers are staying silent and not taking a stand against the deceptive practices of Daystar nor are they taking their shows elsewhere, they are, in fact, saying that what has happened is “acceptable” OR their financial statements are much more important than teaching AND following the Word of God.
Joseph Stampone says , as a Roman Catholic I have always enjoyed Dr. Jack Graham and his powerful preaching .. I will miss him and prayer that he finds another network to Godly preach the Gospel in an environment beloved by Jesus Christ …
