A North Carolina pastor was found dead a week after he was charged with multiple child sex crimes, the Union County Sheriff’s Office today confirmed with The Roys Report (TRR). Waymon Jordan Sr., the senior pastor at Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Waxhaw, North Carolina, was arrested on March 6, according to an earlier statement from the police on Facebook.
Jordan, 79, was charged with four counts of statutory sex offense with a child, the statement said. Following his arrest, he was released on a bond of $200,000, police said.
The pastor was found dead last week — about a week after being released, Lieutenant James Maye told TRR. Jordan was discovered behind his church with a weapon nearby.
While a cause and manner of death could not be revealed, Maye said police suspect no foul play in Jordan’s death. Police said that no other suspects are being sought in connection with his death.
“Everything on scene indicated this was an isolated event,” Maye said. “We can’t officially say this was a self-inflicted gunshot wound at this time because the medical examiner has still not made their findings public, so we are waiting on that. But we can say, like I said, that we do not believe that foul play was suspected.”

Maye noted that there is still an “active sexual assault investigation and an active death investigation into Mr. Jordan at this time.”
When police published their initial statement on Jordan, Maye said they encouraged anyone with information to come forward.
“We are still asking for people to do that,” Maye said. “We still have an active investigation. We want to make sure that at the very least, the people that are involved, that may be victims in this case, get the assistance and the resources they need to recover.”
The investigation into Jordan began in February, police said in their earlier statement.
“Over the course of several weeks, detectives conducted numerous interviews and gathered critical evidence to advance the case,” the statement said. Police then identified Jordan as a suspect.
Jordan allegedly engaged in a “sexual act” with a girl between 12-15 years of age, according to his arrest warrant.
The incident allegedly occurred in 2022, according to court records.
At time of publishing, Jordan remains listed as the founder and senior pastor at Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church on the church’s website.

TRR reached out to Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church for further comment but did not hear back prior to publication.
Jordan, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, was first ordained as a preacher in 1972 at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Charlotte, according to the website. He then established Greater Blessed Hope in 2000.
Jordan studied at Johnson C. Smith University and East Coast Bible College, both located in North Carolina, along with Carver College located in Georgia.
“Pastor Jordan is a man of God who believes in discipline and applying God’s Word to your life,” the church’s website said. “He is a firm believer that everything you need to succeed in this life and the next is already inside of you.”
Jordan also worked at Grier Funeral Home in Monroe, North Carolina, according to the church’s website.
Jordan leaves behind a wife, four children, and 11 grandchildren, the website stated.

May the Lord have mercy on his eternal soul
These wolves in sheep’s clothing!
““He is a firm believer that everything you need to succeed in this life and the next is already inside of you.””
This is the Satanic belief of self-reliance, and a clue to his true beliefs. Just as Eve and Adam self-relied on themselves to listen to the serpent to eat from the tree, against God’s instruction.
From the Church of Satan:
Our position is to be self-centered, with ourselves being the most important person (the “God”) of our subjective universe, so we are sometimes said to worship ourselves. Our current High Priest Gilmore calls this the step moving from being an atheist to being an “I-Theist.”
Satan to us is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential. We do not believe in Satan as a being or person.

I. You are your own master, and shall live life according to your own will alone.
As clerical and priestly sexual abuse appears rampant among all faith traditions, one might begin to ask what do these traditions have to do with Christ? From where I stand and not questioning the potential for God, I think the whole of christology is a no more then a vast theological counterfeit! Probably humanities greatest own goal. I look forward to the second coming and the only one able to correct the errors of mankind and the vain attempt and failure to comprehend the mind of God.
We are truly in the last days.

The Body of Christ is fragmented beyond imagination.
We are the 7th Church, the Church of Laodicea as recorded in the book of Revelations.
Jesus is standing at the door of the Church now, asking to come in
