My goodness, he’s ~80 years old. I hope he’s worth a lot. Someone who writes as much as he has doesn’t spend time on opulence. An entire Biblical commentary? Come on. Do an article comparing MacArthur’s house to Osteen, Jakes, and other “prosperity” preacher’s.
He took a small church and faithfully preached Gods word and his church continues to grow because people are starving for biblical truth. He’s spent his entire life fearlessly defending the Gospel. He’s written hundreds of books. He bought that house a very long time ago. When it wasn’t insane $ to buy a house in LA. You have to look at his life. This man has brought countless people into the knowledge of God. Me being one of them. And taught thousands of me. To be pastors at his seminary college. My pastor being one of them. And runs a great Christian school from preschool – college. Look at his life there is much fruit!! I thank God for Pastor MacArthur !!

This seems to be about the way wealth is acquired, not the living situations of any pastor. One group calls the other evil and greedy. You don’t see too much coming back from the other side. Some say, well this one preached what is right and the other group are evil preachers. The one thing that nobody can possibly see is what’s in the heart of someone else. Each side has their own narrative and they can’t say that’s not true. Greed is prevalent which is a detriment to the wellbeing of the poor. Doesn’t matter which platform a person or group speaks from. However, each person is free to acquire what they feel they need to. It’s not evil to own things, as long as the things don’t own you.
