John MacArthur Returns to Pulpit after Apparent, Undisclosed Illness

John MacArthur has returned to the pulpit at Grace Community Church after about a month-long absence that began in the midst of an alleged COVID-19 outbreak at the church. The 81-year-old pastor apparently is recovering from an illness, but did not specify the nature of that illness.

At the beginning of the service Sunday, MacArthur greeted the congregation. After struggling to clear his throat and catch his breath, MacArthur pointed to his chest and said, “It’s in there still, so, you’re going to get it, later this morning.”

MacArthur Greets His Congregation at the Beginning of Sunday’s Service:

MacArthur had last preached at Grace on December 20. That same day, The Roys Report published accounts that some staff and members at Grace had COVID but were being pressured by the church not to report their illness to health officials.

Two-and-half weeks ago, a Master’s Seminary student and member of Grace died after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Since December 20, MacArthur had not been seen and was believed to be ill. A few days prior to last Sunday’s service, several people posted pictures on social media showing MacArthur teaching a class at The Master’s Seminary.

The church has not responded to repeated questions about MacArthur’s health. When MacArthur did not preach as scheduled on previous Sundays, staff merely said that MacArthur was “resting” and preparing for the upcoming Shepherd’s Conference March 3-5.

MacArthur on Sunday did not address why he had been absent. Before preaching, he simply stated, “It’s a little bit rare for me to go several weeks without preaching. It’s a little bit painful because I love to minister the Word of God.”

MacArthur downplayed concerns about the coronavirus pandemic and Joe Biden’s defeat of Donald Trump, whom MacArthur had staunchly supported. MacArthur said that despite these events, God had been exalted at Grace in services the previous week.

“And if you were kind of tuning in to watch Grace Church last week, you would have said, ‘What election?'” MacArthur said to applause. “What’s going on politically? What pandemic? What virus?’ Christ is all in all. Amen?”

MacArthur’s sermon Sunday was atypical. Instead of preaching verse-by-verse through the Scriptures, he reflected on the past year, saying what Grace had experienced in 2020 was similar to being “at war.”

“We’ve been under a massive assault,” MacArthur said, and referred to the church’s ongoing battle with authorities about meeting indoors for worship. (Los Angeles County recently reversed its ban on indoor worship, provided churches follow social distancing protocols.)

MacArthur also took aim at the media and “ungodly bloggers.”

“ABC tried to discredit us. CNN tried to discredit us. The LA Times has tried numerous times to discredit us. Ungodly bloggers tried to discredit us,” MacArthur said. “They’ve said terrible things about us, lies, misrepresentations, inaccuracies. And they’ve all, really, if they’re honest, had to retract everything because it’s just amazing how the Lord has protected us, isn’t it? Hey, we’re here! Sorry world. You’re there. And I’m still here.”

At the same time, MacArthur later in his message referred positively to work the media has done over the past year, exposing pastors who are “charlatans.”

“It was very hard to call people to faithfulness when you could be so corrupt and so successful in Christian religion. That was the battle,” MacArthur said. “Now, I think there’s a sifting and a shifting. First of all, phonies are going to have a tough time hiding with the internet.”

Then, he specifically referred to the late apologist Ravi Zacharias, which The Roys Report began exposing in September, and former Hillsong Pastor Carl Lentz.

“We’re seeing one after another after another after another—dead ones and alive ones—this dead apologist had a deviant sex life. This cool dude, rock-n-roll pastor was immoral with multiple women for years and years. . . . But liars and frauds and false teachers and con men and all of that have been very, very successful—massively. The media exposed, people have turned that into a fortune.”

MacArthur also discussed religious freedom—a right Grace repeatedly complained had been infringed upon by governing authorities over the past year.

Yet, MacArthur stated, “I don’t even support religious freedom. Religious freedom is what sends people to hell. To say, ‘I support religious freedom’ is to say I support idolatry! It’s to say I support lies! I support hell! I support the kingdom of darkness! You can’t say that! No Christian with half a brain would say, ‘We support religious freedom!’ We support the truth.”

MacArthur ended the sermon by telling congregants that the persecution the church has experienced will likely get worse. Despite this, MacArthur said he’s excited about the future.

“I don’t know how you think this is going to go in the future, but I couldn’t be more thrilled,” MacArthur said. “I mean the clarity now is wonderful, absolutely wonderful.”

  1. Julie, I’m glad you listened to the sermon and reported on it. You say you report good news and bad news, though you left out a lot of good news in this article… things that GCC did in the midst of Covid. Allow me to supplement this article with the good news Pastor MacArthur shared:

    1) Increased ministry to those in prison, including 25,000 Christian books distributed to people in prison
    2) Increased ministry to those with special needs
    3) Increased support to local law enforcement, including providing them with meals, Bibles, orchids, and a toy drive for Christmas
    4) Gave $70,000 worth of food through their pantry ministry
    5) Supplied food for church members who are unemployed
    6) Sent out missionary families overseas
    7) Increased ministry to young, homeless people
    8) Sharing of the Gospel at abortion clinics, with man mothers choosing not to kill their babies

I for one found this sermon incredibly encouraging and uplifting. God is at work during these dark times.

      1. Really Julie? You should be trying to build up John Mccarthur as he’s stood solid preaching Gods word. Disunity isn’t what the Lord wants. This makes me so sad. All of this disunity. This doesn’t bring the Lord honor. Let’s live in these crazy days in faithfulness to Jesus. Let’s love our brothers and sisters so a lost world will see Jesus in us.

        1. Several people have tried to reach out to MacArthur and GCC sooo many times about the conspiracies and misinformation that they have perpetuated about this pandemic since the beginning of their protest of health protocols, only to be met with mocking on all levels.
Several people at GCC have died from the pandemic and more have gotten ill. I have empathy for the families of these people who have to continue to listen to their “friends” and “shepherds” downplay the severity of it. There’s an environment where congregants refuse to report their Covid to the health department and to not cooperate with contact tracing which compromises the health of others who have nothing to do with this.
I’m sorry but are you in the hospitals because thousands of people are dying. MacArthur and GCC may have done good in the past which I’m not disputing, but their right-wing nationalism which they seemingly apply to everything, even on serious health issues like this, have had a lot of consequences.

          1. MacArthur and GCC are in no obligation to response to nonsense.

“Thousands of people are dying”. If you’re concerned about people’s deaths, begin with the current genocide of babies in the womb.

Begin by obeying God. Not man. Even if millions and billions of people die for doing that which God has commanded, you are still to obey God.

          2. BULLSEYECLAW, you wrote that “MacArthur and GCC are in no obligation to response to nonsense.” Are they under an obligation to love their neighbors as themselves? Is that not obedience to God?

And does being concerned about the life of the unborn mean that we should not be concerned about the life of the born? We can see the world’s sin in this, but we should not be the same way, caring for one while ignoring the other.

    1. Paul, save your professional propaganda on behalf of your man JMC for the Hannity or Sean Spicer radio shows. It would fit right in there and be very well-received. On a website that is supposed to be for and by impartial Bereans calling the facts like they are, not so much.

      1. “Impartial,” “professional propaganda,” “calling facts like they are,” hmmmm…

So he presents 8 things as facts (which may or may not be true), and as good things that have happened, all of which are highly likely and hardly a difficult thing to do for a church such as this one, and are things they have likely been doing for years, if not decades.

But your first thing is to judge and condemn him, to ascribe bad motives, accuse him of lying/spreading propaganda, etc, and you do not present any facts, or objective counterpoints, all while claiming to be a Berean and impartial?

For me, as a wannabe Berean, I have several problems here……

  2. John Mac has truly become the Reformed version of Benny Hinn–or if you prefer, the elderly version of Mark Driscoll. He has about as much credibility left as Trump or AOC. And, as far as I am concerned, if any of his parishoners/fans have died of COVID due to his obfuscation and “leadership” on the issue, he is at minimum guilty of their manslaughter, as well, IMO.

If you doubt this, look no further than the nepotism with his crooked son. The fleecing of the sheep will always go on in God’s name and we are called to fight it… Jesus and the moneychangers, you know. Or, look at the sex harassment within the Master’s organization.

When the professing saints of Christ continue to exalt and worship charlatans such as JMC, Jeffress, Hinn, Copeland, White, the Hillsong gang, etc. they are burning Wycliffe and Hus at the stake all over again.

    1. “Your eyes have seen my formless substance;
And in Your book were written
All the days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.” Psalm 139:16

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12

Since his days are determined, and the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his limits that he cannot pass, Job 14:5

My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors! Psalm 31:5

Thankful Brian that our times and days are in the Lord’s hands! He has our days numbered. I am thankful we can entrust ourselves to a faithful and sovereign God.

Many people have died of the virus that have been isolated from all people. Johns Hopkins reported that the death rate for 2020 was not any higher than past years. Many have died this year from many other causes. We all will one day…..but praying for all those who have not yet put their trust in Jesus Christ alone.

There are many false teachers. I’m sad to hear you compare John MacArthur to other false teachers who endorse health, wealth, prosperity, and the social justice gospel. That is a false accusation. Thankful that John MacArthur is a true and faithful under shepherd of the Good Shepherd.

      1. Matthew 25:40: ““The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” The same is true in reverse. The blood of those elderly men who cruelly and torturously died because Johnny Mac had no regard for their safety and well-being will cry out for justice on Judgment Day.

I really don’t give a rip if JMC is anti-social justice warrior. I don’t care for the social INjustice false gospel either but–you don’t go to heaven by fighting the left or believing the right moral things. Hamas, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the 12 Mormon Apostles in the SLC Temple Square, and Narendra Modi are all broadly aligned with biblical Christians on social issues like homosexuality, pornography, premarital sex, abortion, etc. None of them are saved and it’s debatable that any of them even contain any good human beings.

Here is a truth bomb for you all: wasn’t canceled by progressive, woke leftie culture-warriors. I was canceled by a group of Bible-believing traditional Christian Trump supporters I would agree with on 95% of issues. Some of the greatest tolerance I’ve ever received has been from liberals and some of the cruelest judgment I’ve ever received has been from the evangelical right.

So, no, I’m not impressed that there’s an R next to MacArthur’s name and that he votes the “right” way. I am impressed by his fruits and on this front and countless others, they have been severely lacking for a while.

        1. I would like to meet those “tolerant” liberals. You must have not disagreed on their holy grail of gender, sex, and race.

        2. “Some of the greatest tolerance I’ve ever received has been from liberals and some of the cruelest judgment I’ve ever received has been from the evangelical right.” -Brian Patrick, 2021

“Some of the greatest tolerance I’ve ever received has been from Nazis and some of the cruelest judgment I’ve ever received has been from the Allies.” -Brian Patrick, 1942

“So, no, I’m not impressed that there’s an R next to MacArthur’s name and that he votes the “right” way.”

Well, glad we are not here to impress you. But rather we are here to obey God. After all (tongue in cheek), “A wise person’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish person’s heart directs him toward the left” -Eccl 10:2

      2. Jod,

“I’m sad to hear you compare John MacArthur to other false teachers who endorse health, wealth, prosperity, and the social justice gospel.”

I most certainly can associate him with the greedy temple-changers of those first three categories. Look at the sweet deal that he arranged for his crooked, swindling son. Is that a fruit of the Holy Spirit? The Word says that religious leaders are not to amass wealth for themselves. By that count, JMC fails as much as Hinn and the rest of the WoF cult. Do the MacArthurs not have a multi-million-dollar ecclesiastical empire? Do they not enjoy being in the public eye (unless it’s from COVID)?

I really don’t care if his theology is better than theirs is. Theology doesn’t save. Regeneration in the blood of the Lamb saves.

I’m not a fan of the social INjustice false “gospel” any more than Julie herself is–but I must point out, the right political views don’t get you into heaven. On social issues like premarital chastity, abortion, pornography etc. the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hamas, and the 12 Mormon Apostles would agree with us quite well. None of those are going to heaven–and it’s debatable whether any of them contain anyone that’s even “good” in a worldly sense.

Personal anecdote here: it wasn’t woke progressive culture-warriors that canceled me and ruined a good part of my life in 2020. It was a group of traditional Christian Trump supporters I’d agree with on 95+% of the major issues.

        1. Completely agree with you Brian. The lack of transparency, blatant mocking of prudence against Covid-19, and support for a morally dubious political character and movement is an abuse of “spiritual authority” by John MacArthur to say the least.

As a political scientist it is a given to understand that no politicians and political movements can ever be “good”. Politics is about “who gets what, where, and when”, it is about power struggles and battle for your “tribe”. Thus Christians who get into practical politics supporting all the way a political movement can never claim they are following the way of Christ.

I can’t even begin discussing Trump and people around him without my head exploding. If leaders like JMA and Franklin Graham support him so unconditionally… what does it say about their character?

Blatant lies, mockery, haughtiness, every single thing against the fruit of the spirit we see materialized in Trump and those who support him.

          1. “what does it say about their character?”

It says that they are here to honor God. You and your friend, aren’t. Quite simple.

      3. JOD, you should double-check information before reporting it. Hopkins retracted those study results in late Nov (see 1st link below). The study was not done by medical staff but by an economist.

If you go to the 2nd link and scroll down some, you’ll see a graph comparing total weekly deaths from ALL causes in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Clearly the weekly deaths in much of 2020 were significantly above those of prior yrs.

BTW, I am a conservative Republican. I don’t go in for massive fear mongering about COVID but its clear that total 2020 deaths from all causes will be up 300,000 + over recent yrs totals. People can argue about dying with COVID vs dying of COVID, but it’s clear that 2020 deaths in the US are up by a very concerning amount

        https://www.jhunewsletter.com/article/2020/11/a-closer-look-at-u-s-deaths-due-to-covid-19

        https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm

      4. Amen. Just shocked at the hate shown for someone who preaches God’s Word as shown by Brian. And to equate him with Benny Hinn?! I think you have another agenda.

  3. As someone who has extensive experience with a relative who is a long-time MacArthur follower, none of this surprises me. The obfuscation and lack of transparency combined with a combative stance and dismissiveness and/or condemnation for almost everyone outside their select group. All of it is classic MacArthur stuff. It is simply how they behave. No acknowledgement of the larger reality of what their neighbors in L.A. are enduring in the pandemic.

Also, it’s almost a certainty that he was sick with the coronavirus. But he’s white and wealthy so probably got the best of care. The continuing dismissiveness about it even as thousands a day are dying of it and the hospitals are overwhelmed is just disgraceful.

  4. I am pondering on MacArthur’s illness while grieving the death of a 17- year old student I had several years ago. She had several disabilities and COVID ate her right up. I just found out yesterday. I am glad MacArthur recovered, but amazed that he allows his church to be open, allowing more community spread. I am familiar with many churches in my area who have engaged in significant ministries this past year, but they aren’t bragging about it.

  5. God will not tolerate “hubris” in His servants who declare “Thus says the Lord…..”. Because of the fall, all of us struggle with it but have seen it in JMC for years. So so sad.

    1. God bless you sister Meg. John MacArthur is no different from the WoF prosperity gospel charlatans in terms of his money-grubbing and egomania. In fact, he might be worse because usually (not always), the Charismatics make more of an effort to show, or at least fake, agape than he does.

  6. As someone familiar with GCC, a lot of what Julie and Zorro have been saying about that church corroborates with what I know as well unfortunately, especially over the last few years. They have an environment, which starts with their leadership, that is unwaveringly militant about controlling the narrative that aligns with their politics and decision making that shows them in a favorable light, even when people have suffered. I’ve reached out to leadership warning them about Covid misinformation that so many there continue to repeat, only to be mocked and then ignored.

    1. CC, agreed. John and his empire are a hybrid between a Reformed version of your typical WoF racket and a Branch Davidian-like full on cult.

  7. What frustrates me is that Mr. Mac will start to say some thoughtful comments, but then he’ll follow up with ‘any Christians with half a brain will not be for “religious freedom.”

Where does he come up with this stuff?

    On essentials unity
    On non-essentials charity

He reminds me of a curmudgeonly old man………oh wait a minute!

I am glad he pulled through his sickness :)

  8. It’s always interesting to read the replies to the MacArthur posts. The man is such a polarizing figure. I just don’t understand the need to defend him – unless someone’s identity is somehow wrapped up in him. Nothing Julie’s reported is a lie or has needed to be retracted. Surely we can all agree nobody is all good OR all bad. We can soberly examine the criticisms and take note. Unless a person NEEDS MacArthur to be worthy of worship for some reason – perhaps because that person idolizes him.

Aren’t we all taught that we’re not innocent before God because the good things we do outweigh the bad? Yet, this is always the argument to defend the bad when it comes to Christian leaders. I just don’t think they cancel each other out. Both the good and the bad need to be examined independently.

    1. This is cultish activity and programmed group think. These people act like tentacles for the cult repeating only what they have been programmed to repeat. Common sense and thinking for themselves have been thrown out the door. They cannot even admit that at 81 their human idol is very close to his end. This “church” is set for implosion much like Mars Hill Seattle. The members are the ones getting the most harmed and it is increasing over time. This is on a unsustainable trajectory.

      1. Yep. But, no one one leaves a cult because someone screams at them that they’re in a cult. Just to be clear, I don’t think anyone here is doing that. The love of others, and truth, is what brings someone out.

  9. Matt10.16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”

  10. I’m acquainted with a local pastor (he quotes pastor MacArthur a great deal) who teaches against masks, distancing, and vaccination. I disagree with his positions, but do admire him for one thing. When he and most of his flock got very sick and they had to cancel meetings for a few weeks, he COULD have made up a story about resting up for some conference in March. But instead he said it was Covid.

      1. In normal cases, yes I definitely understand your health is a private matter. However, after all the QAnon conspiracies and misinformation that was spoken from MacArthur at church and on national news outlets about this Pandemic, on top of his actions to refuse to follow the health protocols and fuel an environment that mocks those who take it seriously then I think it’s fair for him to be transparent about it IF he had it.

        1. I agree he should tell people if he has had Covid. I don’t understand what harm it would do to tell the truth. If they continue to have church, fine, that means they are taking a chance of contracting Covid. But isn’t that what any of us do any time we go out into the public? So, why not just be honest about Covid?

Q-anon is a cult, I believe, meant to stir up hate and fear just like Antifa and it’s counterparts do on the left.

  11. You know, really it never ceases to amaze me how these high-roller evangelical preachers can get away with anything and hardly ever, or maybe even never be held accountable, especially by their own congregations for their irresponsible statements and actions. The demeanor of John MacArthur has always been one of arrogance, pride, condemnation for those who disagree with him, elitism, narcissism, etc. etc. etc. fill in the blanks anyway you want. I can’t help but say that the leadership and the congregation at GCC places MacArthur on a pedestal higher than that of Jesus himself and would jump off of a roof if he told them to do so. In all my years of monitoring John MacArthur, both in person and just listening to his voice, and commentaries he has made after his radio sermons, I have not been able to detect one speck of humility in this man. James McDonald, the disgraced senior pastor of HBC and John MacArthur of GCC have this in common; both men have an air of haughtiness in them that goes beyond anything I’ve ever seen. I really hope Christians will wake up and stop deifying these men in the pulpit who are no better than they, and should have the hearts and demeanor of servants rather than that of strutting peacocks. I expect to probably get a lot of pushback from people reading this post, but that’s okay, fire when ready grizzly!

  12. Julie Roys,
Thank you for keeping a watch on JM.  I have lost all respect for him over the past 6 months as he began to make false claims about Covid, death counts, mask-wearing, flu shots, and comparing Covid survival rate with vaccine’s effectiveness rate (apple & oranges), etc.

Interesting Grace Community Church has altered the YouTube video from last week’s 2020 “sermon” by JM.  For some reason, they have removed the first few minutes of the video. Hmmm, I wonder why?

Because of JM’s derogatory and demeaning comments towards Christians who did not vote for Trump, my wife and I are leaving the MacArthur (denomination) church we were attending.  Also, thank you JM for making the parishioner’s political affiliation a requirement for church membership.

  13. For many reasons, I gave up on JM over 30 years ago. I have seen no reason since then to change my mind.

Is he really a leader? He mentions Ravi Zacharias in his sermon. The overwhelming and irrefutable evidence against Ravi was available by December 2017. It looks like John just caught on three years late. He certainly isn’t leading me anywhere. To miss the overwhelming evidence against Ravi in 2017 amounts to severe breakage of the very first commandment to love God with all of your mind. Only a halfwit could miss that evidence. To think he is in charge of a seminary is frightening. Fear to the fiftieth power!!

    Sadly,

  14. How is it that we find the splinter in someone else’s eye and don’t see the log in our own eye? It seems that people read these commentaries and look for a flaw for entertainment or something to somewhat attack another person. If a person makes a comment and it’s off even in the slightest there’s opportunity for nastiness. This breaks my heart and I’m sure the heart of God. Grace seems non-existent now a days. Just a thought.

    1. Karin I couldn’t agree more, oh how Gods heart must grieve with all the nasty comments, isn’t this what Jesus preached against. Stunning, I think I am done with visiting this site it, so disturbing to see the sinfulness flowing from most comments.

      1. Dear SH (and Karen),

You need not and should not leave this site. Not only that but you should think about donating to it. I am going to do so myself today.

Julie Roy is not in the business of pulling splinters out of the eyes of others. She is trying to report on things that serious Christians need to think about. If it were not for Julie, you and many others like you could have been Ravi’s next victims.

You being the Christian that you are have to know that wolves in sheep‘s clothing exist. Since you do not like the way Julie goes after wolves and phonies, Might I prevail upon you give us readers of Julie‘s reports a tutorial on how you have warned others of such walls? I will be watching for your service to us all. Then I will be happy to contribute to your ministry.

        Sincerely,

        James Lutzweiler

      2. SH and Karin, I’m afraid MacArthur and GCC has had a very dismissive, conspiratorial and poor view about this pandemic and unfortunately have been wrong about it nearly every time they speak on it. The QAnon conspiracies from the pulpit about how the deaths are inflated, the bad math/misinterpreted data, and dismissive behavior while so many suffer (even families in their church).

I understand wanting to keep the church available to the public, which many many other churches have done but have actually done so in a responsible manner. GCC refuses to follow the health protocols and largely believes the conspiracies that they’re ineffective tools for control by the left and globalists and has encouraged other churches and congregants to completely disregard them as well.

As someone familiar with GCC, it’s not just a matter of going to church w/o a mask and social distancing for a couple hours (which is still irresponsible amongst thousands of people, indoors). No, they continue to indoctrinate them with misinformation and bad statistics/data and conspiracies inciting fear and paranoia about government agents, etc. as if people aren’t actually going through a serious health crisis across the world. This dismissive and conspiratorial view from these people doesn’t only happen on Sunday’s. They carry this behavior throughout the week, hanging out after church, gathering in large groups on the weekdays, partying and celebrating on the weekends all while mocking “draconian and tyrannical govt” while hundreds of thousands of people have died.

It’s ridiculous and people are getting tired of these people claiming persecution when it’s not, but rather attempts to hold them accountable for their actions that directly affects the physical health of so many around them during a serious health crisis like we haven’t seen in over a hundred years.

      3. SH, give us a break with your fake pearl-clutching and hurt feelings. Most likely if you aren’t a bot program, you are a GCC/TMU staffer who is paid to run interference for your god, oops I meant to say boss, on the internet. Well, we don’t put up with that nonsense here.

    2. Shame, shame! How horrible it is that evil, wealthy religious hypocrites get called out by men like Jesus Christ and John the Baptist! These wicked men just need to shut up so that men like J Mac can con another million out of his followers! Really? Have you never read Jesus’ own words without a blinder on? Matt. 23 is really very clear about what it says and it is still as true today as it was 2,000 years ago…

    3. I am sorry Karin if it feels that way. I believe we should be charitable in our responses. Due to the nature of the topics things may get heated.

    1. SH and Karin I agree. This is long and in the time of brevity and just news flash readings I pray that you read this. But I wouldn’t write this if I wasn’t concerned or care. I know John MacArthur isn’t God. These comments however make me sad. I am sad that this pandemic (I know of a few people who lost their lives to the pandemic.) has permeated the church. The Biblical View of God’s plan has been forgotten. The American evangelical knows less about the sacred text to put this pandemic in a Biblical context? BTW the Follower of Jesus Christ wins! The battle for the souls of men has won. The consequences of the cross of Jesus Christ has an overwhelming advantage over this pandemic. Beloved has anyone (Especially the negative people that comment) and be honest actually spent time doing a self study of the Bible to which puts this pandemic in view? Maybe actually do this look up These passages and like an equation add these texts together and see where this pandemic as it is really is… another act of a gracious opportunity to bring us back off these quick comments and hopefully convict each of us.
      1. Isaiah 45:10-26 show how we are a drop in the bucket and at the same time King Jesus is a loving and correcting Shepherd. It also talks about His view of our nation and our leaders. Now add that text to 2. Psalm 139:13-16. Beautiful picture of how we are His masterpiece wonderfully made (Not to tear down the Body of Christ) each of our days was written before hand. We can’t add nor subtract a day in our lives according to God. Add that text to
      3. Ephesians 2:10. We are His Workmanship (lit that last word means poetic masterpiece in the original language) Why? Created in Christ Jesus for good works which God has prepared. The church of Jesus Christ needs to be ready. Not bicker. Add that to
      4. Philippians 1:6, 21. We have been prepared for this time. This pandemic is a good thing. I’ll explain from His words. As this text says we will be brought to His completion at His day. To live is Christ and die… I Win!!!. Add that to this next text
      5. Isaiah 45:7. This text is a monkey wrench in the weak church today. But it is clear God forms light and creates darkness. The text says God brings calamity. Satan couldn’t touch Job without God’s consent Same is true for you and I. I’d read that text a few times let it sink in. Add it to this text.
      6. Hebrews 12:2. So in the mists of this we are to what? Look to Jesus the founder and perfect or of our faith. Why. I love this for the JOY set before Him He endured the Cross! Literally the wrath of His Father so we wouldn’t have to receive His wrath. It’s clear! At the end of that verse. He is not pacing back and forth worrying about John MacArthur or this pandemic. Nope. He’s sitting at the right hand of His father. Add that to
      7. James 1:2. Because Jesus endured the cross with JOY… we can also count it all Joy when we meet various trials and difficulties. Why? We know that He creates these trials to mold and make us. The Joy that Jesus had at the cross is in us. We have the Holy Spirit. The Joy is we have access to the same Joy Jesus had. When He died and we received Him we got all of Him. In this context His Joy. Add that to
      8. Philippians 2:5-13. Gives a Trinitarian mindset. He tells us. Not suggesting or polling data. No, He tells us to have this mindset as Jesus had. He is God and lowered Himself. He became a Man. Exulting the Father He became a Servant. Yet God, ( We will very soon put this text into action and we will see this text come to fruition.) will declare that Jesus is the Name… Above every name! You, myself and everyone will bow. Declare Him as the Only One!!!
I say all that to get us off critical bashing. I believe in protecting the church and pointing out heresy and duplicity. Paul was like this guy named Alexander the coppersmith screwed me over. Jesus called out many for us to read. But God help us. Let’s please get to the scripture where all the expertise really is. Realize that this pandemic is God’s pandemic and maybe His judgment or really His grace to turn our stubborn hearts and the church back to Him. Our days are numbered and He has ordained each day. I prayed before I sent this. I’m sorry for being long winded. I pray you will read the texts and not trust my comments on them. But seek them out for your own heart. It convicted me of my shallowness.

  15. I love and respect John MacArthur and his commitment to the Text. He always has used the Holy Sacred Text in his preaching, interviews and tv debates. Unfortunately like us all he has this awful flesh. I think there is one error in the Bible. Paul called himself the Chief of sinners. I’m thinking I could totally take him on that. Ravi, James and others were men I looked up to. But no more than a murderer turned apostle or a King who had a man killed to live and cover up his lust and sin. Yet with all these men and I know they would agree. They so are not Jesus. They have been blessed with Spiritual gifts that enables them to see insights of the text or how it relates to the church in a post truth culture. Thank Jesus for that. I’ve been blessed by all of them. Yet like them we all have been a pain or fallen short. Maybe hurt a church by gossiping and making a comment about John’s microphone calling him a Cyborg. You may get a slam in, but not building up His church. Matthew 7:13-23. God help us all. Paul tells us to check and see if we are in the faith. Did we really enter the narrow gate. Or the gate that leads to destruction. Beware of false prophets. We will recognize them. However be careful that you don’t confuse a false prophet and there are many. John MacArthur is not one! He has preached this text countless amount of times it’s the reason he was hated by many calling him a legalist and works salvation. I have many disagreements with John MacArthur. However I respect His vigor in explaining the scriptures. I’m saddened by Ravi and what he was doing. I knew of several Believers just like him. Makes me really really realize how thin the gates are and how closely they look to the unregenerate heart. It’s funny in Matthew 7 before it gets to the passage I listed. Jesus is telling us to get the log out of our own eye before we judge the speck in the others. We all have a huge log in our eye. But as the text says… Ask… Seek …. Knock and the golden rule is right after that I think all those thoughts in Matthew 7 are connected. He tells us to build our house on a wise foundation. The floods are here and we are crumbling. Let’s get back to The Bible His answer to all we have and will face and as the chapter concludes. I hope we see his authority as those crowds did.

  16. It seems to me that if a public figure gave so much air time to how the virus is no big deal, if said person had to unexpectedly leave his pulpit (after having already taken some planned time off recently) then he would gladly end all speculation and tell people with specificity why he was out. Add that against several people allegedly getting COVID-19 from a ministry leader Christmas party, and it looks like JMAC is fortunate to have recovered from whatever the unspoken, mystery illness was…

    1. Gonzo. Context is important in light of Who Jesus is to John…. I get why he downplays COVID-19. Less is more. The Gospel is bigger than a pastor or a president. It trumps Covid-19 . Honestly as a follower of Jesus and not the narrative of this world… COVID-19 is blip on the radar of God’s Meta-narrative. God is ???? % in control and on top of Covid-19, John MacArthur or you and I. It doesn’t matter why he was gone. It matters that Jesus is more than enough to carry us all through this.

      1. KX, the idolatry is thick in your post. There is a pretty decent chance that without the finest of care that his wealth afforded him, John Mac would have been taken home by the virus you so trivialize just like his god, Trump, would have been. The statistics for elderly men with this virus are not good. In John’s case, I am not entirely sure that his “home” would be heaven, either. You need to repent and worship Jesus, not an extremely fallen man.

        1. Brian Patrick, I am saddened by the comments made. I actually did three posts. ( by accident I have said KX as my name not KC So if you read the other posts with that post it gives clear Biblical context of John and the Pandemic). So, I would read them fully. The sad thing is Your are placing yourself as an authority over someone’s eternal destiny. I agree, John MacArthur is an extremely flawed man as are you and I. The point of his wealth, stating that his god is Trump and making the statement that your not entirely sure if his home is heaven. Then, you have concluded that I should repent and worship Jesus. I think I get it. However, Mr. Patrick, you have zero clue about John’s soul or my soul. I disagree with John MacArthur in many areas as my early post has stated. I said I know he isn’t God. However these comments you made as I summed up are not Biblical at all. I’m not minimizing this pandemic. But this pandemic compared to the Glory of Jesus Christ is very small. I then put Biblical Theology interwoven with a Systematic Theology to give us pause and realize Who is the Lord/LORD of this pandemic. I respect John MacArthur for something that he did for me in 1999. His detailed attention to Biblical Exegesis has been a blessing and a profound impact on how to wrestle with the text. I watched a lot of preaching and preachers over the years. Good and unbiblical preaching. The common denominator is flawed men who are κήρυξον the λόγον. Preach The Word. To herald the message because that’s what God has ordained to convince, convict, correct, restore and see the Wonder of the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. He is the Hero and the Meta-Narrative of the Bible, our lives, the church and fortunately this Pandemic. As a follower of JESUS CHRIST, this pandemic is small. I believe that God is Sovereign, Omnipresent, All-Powerful and All Knowing. So in Light of Jesus Christ as the Truth of Scripture declares that the Good Shepherd watches His flock. The government and subjective truth has permeated the church. Reason is that the church today rarely functions as the scripture is the final authority in everything it does. Truth has departed the church and the cosmos. 2 Timothy 3:1-9 It talks about godlessness in the last days. The context isn’t the world we live in but the Church. The list of bad things are about the church. Then the answer is just after in 2 Timothy 3:10-4:5. The solution is that All scripture is is God’s breath/Inspired and it is profitable for Teaching, Reproof, Correction and training in Righteousness. So what does Timothy do with that message in a godless church as the church is as a whole in the USA? Preach The Word (4:2,). When? People are so out on TRUTH! So the time has come as (4:3) we are warned. What do we do? Reprove, Rebuke and Exhort (4:2). How? With Patience and Long-suffering (4:2). John MacArthur, Brian Patrick, myself and this pandemic need a Biblical perspective,Revelation 21:5-8, have a list of those who are going into a literal Lake of Fire. My whole point is Jesus kind knows who is IN and who is OUT! I so know I have to confess daily about my sin. My posts have not worshipped John MacArthur over Jesus Christ. However, your post has a narcissistic overtone by accusing me of idolatry and making claims about a man who has shared his conversion story many times. I’m not calling you a narcissist (as a noun) but describing what your statement said and conveys. It is easily dismantled Do you have a Biblical Theological reason to your declarations about John or myself? Did the Spirit of God give you spiritual insights? I’m not being sarcastic, I just wondered where you get your authority to make claims. I did a word search of MacArthur bs. Jesus. John MacArthur is not in the Bible, But Jesus is all in around and through every page of God’s word. I just had to check and maybe you are dead on. If he lying then pray for him. I’m not comfortable with making a statement of the direction of his soul. I am completely comfortable with stating through his objective text driven statements as Biblical and Life Changing. I’m not comfortable with equating John with Jesus. But every interaction and interview I have seen is a man humble about himself, however that dude is bold about the truth/church. Maybe it’s arrogance he has in his heart, greed, immoral thoughts or a plethora of other struggles he has with his heart. I will pray for you Brian as I hope you do the same. But give some Biblical Exegesis to back up your statements about a brother in Christ. You don’t have to agree with him. But tearing him down. Not Biblical! I’m not going to tell you that you need to repent. I only see statements, not your heart. But I love different opinions. I just hope that this one can be based on The Text. As for this pandemic, it is really small compared to Jesus.

As for the prescription of how we can limit this virus is based in subjective thoughts. If social distancing and non-medical grade mask are to be worn to limit the spread of this disease and if we are concerned for our fellow Brothers and sisters in Christ. Then we REALLY NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: hand sanitizer, Goggles, disposable gloves, sanitizing spray for the stuff we touch at the store, sanitizing spray for our debt/credit cards and machine because we are taking it seriously, wash our clothes consistently, medical grade masks, keep mask in a place where it will not be contaminated between uses, not going to visit family/friends, sanitize our work area, make sure we sanitize our doors if someone comes by, sanitize the restaurant tables we sit in and make sure we are vigilant in washing our hand. That’s what taking a virus seriously would look like. As for being bold to the government in California and the safety of his congregation the Jesus has blessed John MacArthur to be an under shepherd. He will ultimately answer to Jesus for his actions in 2020. He is not about religious freedom or rights. He has been crystal about Biblical Christianity vs American Christian. As for Trump, it doesn’t matter, Isaiah is clear about Trump/Government. I wish that we could focus on the mirror and dive into the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. I have a lot of growing to do! I hope the same is true for you, Mr. Patrick. One day we will, (by God Grace via the Finished Work of Jesus Christ) all see Jesus in His Glory and Grace. We can boldly approach the Throne of Grace. Amen?

          1. No amount of truth, logic, Scripture, etc will change the mind of those who make (wildly) false accusations of others, and who can’t/won’t respond when called out.

  17. His point on the limited view of the virus is a Biblical view Gonzo. From a follower of Christ, this virus can only bring us closer to Jesus. Also, context is key. He is speaking to the church. For a Christian ignorance to a virus isn’t helpful. Yet the risk of letting a virus exhaust our lives is the world’s way of solving a problem. We have the Spiritual Vaccination in Jesus. I don’t think He has to mention why he was gone. Sometimes less is more. Especially with this time. COVID-19 is a blip in the radar screen of life. That’s a Biblical thought. Why exhaust a blip. I watched the entire sermon last night. I had a smaller view of Covid-19 and a bigger view of Jesus Christ and His exultation. I’m not going to let the cosmos or anthropomorphic ways determine what I have to or not address. As a Shepherd of Grace Community Church. I really think that is John’s attitude. Speculation is so fleeting. It really is. Prayer always trumps speculation and air time.

    1. “I’m not going to let the cosmos or anthropomorphic ways determine what I have to or not address. As a Shepherd of Grace Community Church. I really think that is John’s attitude.” – Does Big Mac answer to anyone? Are there any vertebrates on the board? Such an attitude describes a benevolent narcissistic dictator.

      1. Did you watch the video? And you started at the end of the quote. There is always context. Cosmos is from the word referring to Satan’s system. Anthropomorphic is mans ideas of what needs to be addressed. We don’t know but the vertebrae and narcissistic behavior have nothing to do with my statement. I’m at a log-jam here.

  18. Staff merely said that Big Mac was “resting”. Big Mac simply stated, “It’s a little bit rare for me to go several weeks without preaching. It’s a little bit painful because I love to minister the Word of God.” – lol! If it’s so rare & painful then why not preach rather than rest??
It’s obvious Mac got the Vid. All 1 needs to do is look at & listen to him. But now they deceive & obfuscate their sheeple. WWJD??

  19. look i think hes a really great pastor and preacher. some of his sermons are really good. but i still dont understand why he is risking his and so many others lives by leaving his church open without following safety protocol. this man most likely got it himself, but as i read some people were writing, hes sure to be good since he is financially well and im sure he can afford good treatment. why does he act like nothings wrong when people have died all over the world, and even in his own church. seeing some people defend him on here makes me so sad. as christians, we should be going to church, but i cant see why we can also follow social distancing and masks. in my church and so many others, we moved the chairs 6ft apart for each row and mandate masks. im glad he is feeling better, but i hope he may think of others before something bad might happen.

    1. James, Benny Hinn has preached some great sermons too. People have been saved by him, as woefully inadequate (to put it mildly) as his theological quality and conduct are. Obviously JMA is of a better caliber of theology than Hinn but you get my point. Sometimes preaching excellent messages and getting people saved can never be a pass for atrocious character and a lack of fruits of the Spirit in too many areas to count.

        1. Lol KC, how can I answer that! I don’t live inside their hearts. I would say that Hinn does a better job of showing (likely faking, but I digress) agape than MacArthur so there’s that, take that as you will. When it comes to their showmanship, sheer and brazen greed, corruption, and systematic lying and deception, they’re pretty much dead even. I will say that YOUR spiel above about “spiritual vaccination” sounds a lot like the metaphysical drivel that is spewed by the WoF and “seeker-friendly” megachurch tares. If you don’t like your idol, oops I meant role model, JMA being discussed in the same breath as the Hinn cult, tell him he needs to look in the mirror and perhaps schedule himself for some plank-removal opthamological surgery (once he fully recovers from his COVID), so he doesn’t go blind.

          1. Respectfully Mr. Patrick,

It’s interesting I was just asking a question. Your response is full of jabs and non-syllogistic statements. Apologists would call them a false dilemma. Wouldn’t the statement, “as a man thinks so he is “a fair deduction of the condition of the heart. The reason is that your logic through the rest of your post is just that. Making statements of living insides someone’s heart. It’s sad how divisive your statements are and not just really giving a transcendent view of Jesus Christ and a profound view of His Word. I wasn’t giving a “spiel “ because by definition of the word,
“a long or fast speech or story, typically one intended as a means of persuasion or as an excuse but regarded with skepticism or contempt by those who hear it.”

So if you do have contempt by my “spiel” that’s your issue. I’ll let your statement of John MacArthur in a crass manner stand on you. Maybe he does and hopefully he doesn’t go blind. Yet, can you biblically back up your statements of John and Benny. Can you show the sin of where I was an Idolator? I made it clear in what was Biblically saturated that my Mentor and Role Model is Jesus Christ. My thankfulness to John MacArthur is his dedication to exegesis of The Word of God. So that’s why I am asking. Since you say you can’t live inside of someone’s heart. Why pre-judge everyone as if you can? Could you also pray for Benny Hinn’s nephew (since he left what he deemed to be corrupt in his uncle to the ministry of GCC)? I’ll pray for you as I did last night. Pray for me if you would. I need it too. I prayed Psalm 34:8, Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!. I want to always Taste and See the Jesus is Good!

      1. Benny Hinn/John MacArthur have yet to save anyone. It’s the Spirit of God who reveals the word of God and this divine transaction of grace/mercy/love and Regeneration happen in the heart. If people have been saved by Benny we are in trouble!

    2. James, those are my thoughts exactly. I have followed John MacArthur’s teaching for many years and have numerous books from him. That is why this whole thing has been so sad to me too. It feels like a betrayal of who I thought he was–loving, kind, level-headed, and most importantly, someone committed to preaching the word. Instead this has come across as if he is looking for a fight, and it is not even over a scriptural issue that he can support from the Bible. We all know that gathering together as a church is God’s desire, but there are ways to do so safely. Church buildings cannot even be constructed unless they adhere to certain codes–enacted by the state–that make them safe. So why not use a little common sense to make gathering together as a church safe for a relatively short time until this pandemic comes to an end? Is that not the loving and sensible thing to do?

      1. Darren, I’m sorry that you have been so let down by John Mac. A lot of people can deeply comprehend theology and not be saved. You don’t have a relationship with God via “book knowledge” no matter how accurate it is. I look to someone’s life fruits, not what they know or how eloquently they can say it. I obviously can’t answer whether or not JMA is truly a believer or not, but I sure as heck don’t see any fruits flowing out of him. I don’t see a heck of a lot of grace out of GTY.

        1. Actually Darren that is incorrect. Joshua 1:8, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, 2 Timothy 2:15, Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 3:1-2, Psalm 119:18 ( A beautiful verse), I Peter 3:15, Deuteronomy 11:18-23, Romans 12:2, Acts 17:11, Hebrews 4:12, James 1:22, Ephesians 6:11-17, Proverbs 2:1-5, Acts 8:30, John 8:32, John 1:1, John 13:17, 1 John 2:27, John 6:63,Luke 4:4, Hosea 4:6, John 5:35-40, Ezra 7:10, 1 Peter 2:1-2 and Philippians 2:5-7. There is so many more rich and satisfying verses. It is Book and Heart Knowledge . The Greek uses 2 types of Knowledge. Intimacy with Jesus and wisdom from His Word. These verses while some maybe unable to always find every verse in the Bible. It’s impossible to bear His fruits from a pure heart without know Jesus as in His Word. Ask the Spirit of Jesus to help you download the Word of God into your heart. I’m not trying to be adverse but we all need to be passionate students of the Word. Amen? I don’t know John heart either or the fruits he may or may not bear. I have enough work dealing with the man in the mirror. But when you study the truth. You will see error way easier. Blessings in the Strong Name of Jesus!

          1. KC, what the heck does that laundry list of Scripture verses (that I am sure you are twisting) have to do with the rightness or lack thereof of JMA?

          2. KC,

“It’s interesting I was just asking a question. Your response is full of jabs and non-syllogistic statements.”

You did not ask a real question in good faith. You asked something you knew would be impossible to answer in an effort to play “gotcha”. Well–I did so to the best of my ability (by looking at Johnny Mac’s fruits), and you didn’t like it, so you can put on your big boy pants or not.

“Apologists would call them a false dilemma. Wouldn’t the statement, “as a man thinks so he is “a fair deduction of the condition of the heart. The reason is that your logic through the rest of your post is just that.”

More baloney sophistry, a bit more (pseudo-) sophisticated than your last post when you were throwing out nonsensical buzz-phrases like “spiritually vaccinated”, but still pitiful.

“It’s sad how divisive your statements are and not just really giving a transcendent view of Jesus Christ and a profound view of His Word. I wasn’t giving a “spiel “ because by definition of the word,
“a long or fast speech or story, typically one intended as a means of persuasion or as an excuse but regarded with skepticism or contempt by those who hear it.” ”

Yeah, you can pile more sophistry on, you have really won Julie and the rest of us over, haha. Nice try, not. I guess we aren’t allowed to criticize JWism, the Mormon “church”, Islam etc. because that would be intolerant and “divisive” too, eh? You sound about a quarter of a degree removed from a SJW whining about cultural appropriation or toxic whiteness.

“I’ll let your statement of John MacArthur in a crass manner stand on you. Maybe he does and hopefully he doesn’t go blind.”

Translation: “Teacher, teacher, Brian said mean things about my friend waah waah waah! Put him in time out waah waah waah!”

“Yet, can you biblically back up your statements of John and Benny. Can you show the sin of where I was an Idolator?”

I can judge those two “anointed” by their words and actions and the same of you. I am not omniscient, but I can go on evidence that’s available for all to see.

“I made it clear in what was Biblically saturated that my Mentor and Role Model is Jesus Christ.”

Your words here trolling Julie and her reporters and supporters cast legit doubt on that.

“My thankfulness to John MacArthur is his dedication to exegesis of The Word of God. So that’s why I am asking.”

It looks more like you have a crush on the guy.

“Since you say you can’t live inside of someone’s heart. Why pre-judge everyone as if you can?”

I can flip that on you–YOU have no way of knowing John is truly a righteous man, either. How does that feel?

“Could you also pray for Benny Hinn’s nephew (since he left what he deemed to be corrupt in his uncle to the ministry of GCC)? ”

Nice try changing the subject. Julie has never had a problem with Costi. I suspect you know that, and are just throwing him out there to confuse the issue.

“I’ll pray for you as I did last night.”

You can pray for who or whatever you want. Are you praying to the real God about me or who I suspect YOUR “god” is (John MacArthur)?

“Pray for me if you would. I need it too.”

I will pray the scales come off your eyes and you wake up from your idol-worship. Your fanboying of an extremely fallen leader is in effect burning Wycliffe and Hus at the stake all over again. You need to repent of that.

“I prayed Psalm 34:8, Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!. I want to always Taste and See the Jesus is Good!”

Save your Christianese fluff for someone who will be wowed by it. Julie and I sure ain’t.

      2. ikr darren. i’m literally a middle schooler who understands these things more than other people who defend him . why cant a pastor understand he is risking himself and many others who attend his church when he doesn’t follow any safety covid regulations. smh

  20. MacArthur and his minions will never admit to Covid. But all insiders have confirmed he has had Covid and is incapable of admitting anything of the sorts. What a sad demonstration of pride. Hold others to a high standard and be light on yourself. Sounds like the Pharisees to me. For a church by the name of “Grace”, they lack grace in profound ways. It is shocking. It is insane that they continue to get away with what they are doing. MacArthur who has a son caught up in a financial scandal should step out of ministry based on his stand on having your family in order. He would have that view on anyone else. And far be it from the elder board of GCC to hold him accountable. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Just a bunch of yes men who have no backbone of their own. They are prideful and arrogant producing disciples of themselves 100 times worse. And GCC has changed. So many have left with disgust and disillusionment. They couldn’t take it any more. May God bring His judgment on this ministry.

    1. Which scandal do you refer to? The one where son in law Kory Welch’s company was paid millions by the Grace To You board for “media production” ? Or would it be Mark MacArthur’s SEC charges for incentive payments when he put his clients in a certain real estate fund? The son might not usually matter but it does when he sits on the GTY board—the same board funneling this ridiculous amount of money to Kory.

These payments to Kory and Mark’s SEC charges were reported by news outlets.

  21. Julie, thank you for reporting on the folly of GCC and MacArthur. And a friend, J. Schubert who was a member of GCC died of Covid on January 21. He wasn’t even able to attend his son Andrew’s wedding. And all because GCC doesn’t take anything seriously in order to prop up the kingdom of John MacArthur. How sad can it get. Now a seminary student is dead. A dear member of the church…dead. And who knows how many more. And the folly continues. May God bring light to the darkness of all that is going on behind the scenes at GCC. They don’t follow guidelines in anything. That is why their SteepleHouse coffee shop got shut down…no following of county health guidelines. And all the construction on their campus…many have reported that they don’t even pull permits for the construction. They are full of hypocrisy and it is now being exposed. Check into their lack of permits for the construction and remodels of their campus. Too many people have seen that this is what they do. They hold others to a high standard and they themselves are able to lie, cheat and beat the system. How sad can it get.

    1. SP, totally on point. The utter hubris of this demagogue and his empire puts a lot of the WoF guys/gals to shame. At least the latter usually pretend to express God’s love whereas Johnny considers arrogance in being
“elect” (which I rather doubt he is oftentimes) to be a virtue. The GCC campus is on the order of Nebuchadnezzar’s auto-statue or the Tower of Babel. Johnny Mac’s hands are drenched in blood.

    2. SP, I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. Questioning many things. Its frustrating how so many are still blind to the fact that they were perpetuating baseless conspiracies about the health protocols at the expense of the physical health of others during this once in a century health crisis. Unfortunately the Covid toll looks like:

      V. Dyachenko (reported from ShepCon)
      A. Kolomiytsev (reported from ShepCon)
      J. Schubert (your friend)
      TMS student/GCC member (from report)
H.Z.N. (Initials of Grace member who passed at the beginning of this year from Covid likely from an outbreak)

      And probably more.

Your tax-deductible gift helps our journalists report the truth and hold Christian leaders and organizations accountable. Give a gift of $30 or more to The Roys Report this month, and you will receive a copy of “Hurt and Healed by the Church” by Ryan George.
